More News On Todd Stroger

I wrote earlier this week about how Todd Stroger‘s biggest challenge has been the media. You know, none of the important stuff liking laying people off bothered him. I just found out that Mr. Stroger has hired yet another one of his friends for a high paying position!

Richard Velazquez is being paid to give legal advice to Todd Stroger. However, his paycheck is coming from the Public Defender’s Office. You know, the same office that just had to lay off 13 lawyers and 65 – 70 people are being forced to take unpaid days off because of the budget cuts. How much is this guy making? $108,000 a year.

What a freaking joke!

Happy Mothers Day!!

Happy Mothers Day!!

Let’s see. My morning started with Madison jumping on me tellling me to get up. Her daddy was making his Sunday morning special (french toast). It actually didn’t rain today, so he finally made it outside and mowed the lawn. Then we went to Grandma’s and spent the day over there. Bill got me a card from Madison. That’s it. And for Bill, that’s good. I usually don’t even get a card. When he does good, it usually does good. When he does bad, I don’t get anything at all, so I can’t be too picky. As I am typing this though, my wrist is breaking out in hives. Not good. Now I have to figure out what I touched to cause it.

I finally finished Madison’s new bedroom. Hopefully, I can get some new pictures on here with out, so you all can see my hard work. It’s purple. I did a stencil border in the middle of the room and up toward the ceiling also. On the bottom portion of the room, I did paint stamps that were in the shapes of flowers and butterflies. On the top portion, I put up Tinkerbell stickers. It looks great. We moved Madison in there on Friday night, and its been interesting ever since. She’s not liking being in the room alone.

Ok, I’ve gotta go find some Sudafed before I go crazy itching. See ya later.

My Week In Review

Went to a Lia Sophia party on Tuesday. One of my friends had it. Was pretty cool. I had checked out the jewelry online and didn’t really care for it. However, once you see this stuff in person — wow! I ended up setting up to have a party. It’ll be sometime in June. If you are interested in anything, check out their webpage at www.liasophia.com and let me know if you want anything. They also have a lifetime replacement guarantee. If you are not satisfied for any reason (including you just not liking the piece anymore), they will replace it as long as you own the piece. Since Madison seems to wreck everything nice I have, I like this guarantee. icon smile My Week In Review

Sooo back to the yard we go this weekend. Our goal is pull out the old swingset and the tarp underneath. We are going to try and grow grass there. Anybody got any advice on how to do this? We went and bought fertilizer and grass seed. I wanted to just get sod, but Bill said no. Also, we cut the grass last night. My god, it was about a foot long. I could not believe it. We have 2 full garbage bags of grass clippings. We also ended up having to buy a weed wacker. We’ll be playing with this shortly.

We also bought Madison a bird feeder. She likes to look out the front window and talk and wave to the birds in the front trees. We’ll see how this works.

The exciting news happened this morning. Madison pulled her diaper down and said potty. Bill ran her to the bathroom and she actually went on the toilet. We did a potty dance and are very excited for her. This has been extremely hit and miss with her. Most of the time she does not tell us. She could care less if she’s sitting in a wet diaper. If anyone has any potty training advice, we’ll happily take it.

Well time to get running. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
