I have just started using Gloves In A Bottle to help battle the effects of a Chicago winter. Days like today (when with the wind chill it is below zero) are the very reason I need this new skincare item. The part I love about Gloves In A Bottle is that it does not wash off. With two little ones, I find myself constantly washing my hands. With other lotions, I was finding that I constantly was having to reapply for it to work. Well, I can’t spend my day applying lotion (mostly because I don’t remember). For maximum effectiveness, you just need to reapply Gloves In A Bottle every 4 hours. Well, I tend not even remember to do it that much, and I still have noticed a difference. I have also passed on a few sample packs of this to my cousin who is a nurse. She finds herself constantly washing her hands at work too. She lives over on the East Coast, so they have dry cold winters too. I also love that it isn’t greasy. I cannot stand lotion that leaves a mark on everything I touch after I apply it. It ranks up there pretty high on my list of pet peeves. Not only can you order this online, but it widely accessible in over 13,000 stores nationwide (if you hate to pay for shipping like me). You are also able to use this on other parts of your body, and it works just as good!

Madison had her four year check up today. She gained 3 1/2 inches in the last year which puts her at 41 1/2 inches now. She also weighs 38 lbs. Developmentally, she is where she needs to be. As part of her physical, I had to get a urine sample. As many you may know, that requires peeing in a cup. The nurse told Madison she had to do this, and we started heading towards the bathroom. Halfway there Madison tells the nurse that she is going to pee all over her mom’s hand and then starts giggling. I’m glad to report that didn’t happen, but I could have died of embarrassment.

I didn’t do anything worth blogging about the morning of Day 2. I did head over to Blogworld in the afternoon. I knew Pete from Izea was going to be there around one, and I definitely wanted to meet him in person. I also needed to finish walking through the trade show and Mark Cuban was the closing speaker. I wanted to see him speak.
I did run into Pete:

He’s from England, so not only is he cute but he has an English accent too. Pete has his own fan club (whether he likes it or not). One of the booths I stopped at was for Southwest. On my Lisa Reviews blog, I actually wrote up a review regarding my flight on my way to Vegas, so I stopped by and let them know. They also were giving away inflatable airplanes, and I wanted to grab one for Madison. I let them know that I had written a review and enjoyed the fight. They told me they were having a contest for anyone who commented on their blog. Needless to say, I commented.
Who knew that I could later have used a nurse from a travel nursing agency later that day? Seriously, I did not need a nurse that had a travel nursing job, but my heart did stop when I found out that I won. What did I win? A free round trip ticket that doesn’t need to be used till December of 2008. I can use it anywhere that Southwest goes. Since I live in Chicago and that is Southwest’s main headquarters, I can pretty much go anywhere. I keep repeating this and no one believes me. Really, I am not lucky. I never win anything.

I thought that title would get your attention. Also, it serves as a great warning say if your are eating breakfast and don’t want to hear about things like bodily fluids over your breakfast. Ok, on with the story . . .
My bodily fluid day started at the doctors office. While being weighed, Will proceeded to pee all over the scale and me and the nurse and himself. It was great, let me tell you. Then after we got home, Will proceeded to pee on me twice while I was trying to change him. I thought this was the end of my fun. I was wrong. About 11 pm last night, I fed Will in my bed. I was being lazy and did want to take him back into the living room which has not been a problem. Last night, however, he ate his bottle and then proceeded to throw up all over me and my bed. Not a little, mind you. I had to change my clothes, and we had to rip all the bedding off the bed. My entire side of the bed was covered in puke.
I thought we were done with this stuff by today. Madison climbed into bed with me this morning. I was feeding Will about 8 and I noticed a wet spot on the bed on Bill’s side (and I was pretty sure Bill didn’t wet the bed). This is where Madison lays when she climbs into bed with me. Her diaper leaked!!!!
So today has now turned into “let’s wash all the bedding” day. I tell you, its great being a housewife. Somebody please help me . . .

Sorry, this is both a funny yet gross story about what happened Sunday morning at my house. I am still laughing over it.
About 4 am Sunday morning, I was feeding Will. I went to go change his diaper, and he was not happy. This woke Madison up, so she wanted to help me. She came flying into the nursery to help. Bill also decided to get up. Since I had to go to the bathroom, I left it up to Bill to change Will.
The next thing I know is that Madison is screaming at the top of her lungs. Bill was like “what?” to her. She then proceeds to scream, “He peed on me! He peed on me!” And she was right. We turned on the light, and Will had peed down her arm and all over her pajamas. We are such bad parents, because all we could do is laugh at her which made her more angry. Heck, I am still laughing at this. I got her cleaned up and new pajamas. However, she is still talking about how Baby Will peed on her, and she did not like it.
