How was your Halloween? Here is Chicago we had a beautiful day. The last two Halloweens it was so cold that we have to dress the kids in layers of berghaus clothing, and they were still cold after about an hour. Not that they wanted to quit trick or treating or anything, but I was worried about how cold it was. However, this year, we didn’t have that problem. I think it was almost 70 degrees out. I definitely had the kids and myself overdressed. I actually found myself sweating at times. Isn’t that crazy?
We went with my neighbors and their kids and ended up trick or treating for about two hours. About half way through, we went back to our houses and got a wagon. Will was getting super heavy a that point. Bill would have been here to help, but he got stuck in a huge traffic jam trying to come home (obviously, everyone had the same idea to leave early). After the third house, I quit walking Will to the door. His 27 pounds gets quite heavy when you have to walk up porch steps several time. However, Madison made sure he was taken care of. She asked at almost every house for candy for her little brother. Then she would run to Will and put it in his pumpkin. It was cute, but highly embarassing for me.
After two hours, Bill ended up getting home, and we went to his brothers house. We were suppose to trick or treat over there, but the kids were pretty much done (which was fine with me, because I was beat). We just ended up ordering pizza, and the kids just played together.
All in all it was a pretty good day. How about you? How did you spend your Halloween?

You all know that I love to shop. Well, actually, I like to shop when things are on sale or when I have a coupon or a voucher to get a better deal. Now, I do some international purchases, but I do know that I have several readers who live in the UK, so this post is for you!
Now, the best spot that I have found to get voucher codes for shopping is a site called Discount Shopping. They have a voucher code for pretty much anything you could want or need: 5% off character toys, 10% off Dell Computers, and free delivery for Woolworths. As you can see, they have a great selection of places that you can get these voucher codes for. I know it makes me want to shop more. How about you?
Not only do they have great voucher codes, but they are way easy to find. There is a great search feature on the site. Also, along the left sidebar, there are listing for hot offers, popular retailers, PC’s and laptops, and gifts and gadgets. Right now, under most popular this week, they have an awesome Pizza Hut deal (which all of you know is my favorite pizza place ever!). The voucher code would allow you to get 3 pizzas, 3 side orders or 3 cookie dough deserts all for the price of 2! What a great deal! This is one of the easiest sites out there to navigate. If you aren’t quite sure what you are looking for, you can search by categories or even by store.
If you are wanting to do some shopping, make sure you check out Discount Shopping first for voucher codes, so you can save some of your hard earned money.

No, we didn’t adopt a cat, dog, or baby. Instead we ended up having to buy a new stove. Here’s our new baby:
I can honestly say that this is the best oven I have ever owned. We have been trying it out the last couple of days. My old stove didn’t have a digital anything on it, so we have had a little bit of learning curve. The first time I tried to set the timer, I actually turned the oven off. Then we couldn’t figure out why the pizzas weren’t cooking! LOL Seriously, I love it! It also has a simmer burner and a poweburner (which allows you to get water to boil faster — I think its something like 12,000 BTUs)
I am hoping that this is last appliance we will have to buy for a while now. Last fall, we replaced the washer and dryer. 3 weeks ago, we have to replace the phones and the microwave. Now, its the stove. The only thing we still have left to replace is the water heater (Knocking on wood that that doesn’t go out now!)
