Trip Planning
We leave in less than a week for Sedona. I should be excited, but instead I am feeling more guilty than anything. It was a great idea to leave the kids for a week when we booked this trip. However, now I am feeling extremely guilty now that we are leaving them for so long. I am hoping I can get over it, so Bill and I can enjoy this trip. I am trying to figure out what we need to pack. Its in the 60′s and the 70′s there. Its a whole whopping thirty degrees here. I know what we are not packing: golf shoes. There will be no golfing on this trip. At least, I don’t think there will be any. We haven’t decided what we are doing yet though. I have a feeling I’ll be a tad more frantic during the week trying to pack for both us and the kids for a week.
Go Vote!
I live in one of the states that votes in their primary today. I just want to remind everyone to go vote! Granted, it is a given the Obama is going to win Illinois. However, for me, there is a school referendum that needs to pass. It only lost by 144 votes last time, so every vote counts! If doesn’t pass, Bill and I will seriously consider moving. At this time, band and art have been cut. If this doesn’t pass, they are talking about cutting recess too. Some class sizes are already in the 40s, so I am afraid how much bigger they will go.
All in all, remember to go and vote today!
Toddler served margarita in a sippy cup
I wish I was kidding. This really did happen. I guess that the apple juice was right next to the margarita mix and a toddler was accidentally given the margarita mix instead. The toddler ended up in the hospital. The restaurant is paying all of the medical bills and I guess giving them some free meals too.
I personally think that margarita and apple juice looks completely different (and I have had a lot of margaritas in my time). Heck, they smell quite a bit different.
