Goodbye Parking, Hello Car Service

With the drugs that I am pumped up with now due to my face infection (see prior post), I can definitely use a car service today. I literally feel like a Mack truck has run me over. It is definitely difficult to manage two kids when all you want to do is climb back into bed. Madison has a play date for today, and if there was a local car service, I would definitely look into using it. However, I do know there is a good one in New York called Dial 7. They pretty much pick you up and take your wherever you want to go ie limousine service JFK, a party in the city, etc.   They have over 450 cars, so availability shouldn’t be a problem.  My sister in law lives in New York, and I can definitely see her using this service when she flies home here in Chicago.

Charity and Business

I got a call from one of my customers last week about donating some lia sophia items to her church raffle.  She had booked a show last November from me and is going to do one again this November.  (She is also the sister-in-law of Bill’s cousin, so I kind of knew her before the show).  With the donated items (one was a ring and the other was a bracelet), I put in a letter thanking them for their purchase and told them what they could get if they booked a party with me.  I also included a catalog and my business card.

Even though I think I may be getting out of the business, I donated.  Why?  It is great PR.  It is also a tax write off.  Lastly, it was the right thing to do.  She also invited me to the silent auction that my donated things will be given away.  Yeah – a night away from the kids!!

Haircuts

My sister in law is such a dear and came over to give us all haircuts. I think she got more than she bargained for. Madison wanted her to just play in her room with her. It was pretty cute. Madison giggled the whole time she was here. Now, Madison just got her bangs trimmed and Bill just got a trim. I did a major change. Lets just say like 7 inches off the back and 4 on the sides. I’d like to surprise you all when I see you so I won’t say any more.
