Brett Favre Retires!

As most of you know, I am from Wisconsin. More specifically, Green Bay Wisconsin. My parents live close enough to Lambeau Field that you can actually walk over there. Imagine my surprise, when I just heard that Brett Favre has retired. The story is over at NFL.com, so I am pretty sure it is true.

He retires with 5,377 career completions in 8,758 attempts for 61,655 yards, 442 touchdowns and 288 interceptions. He also has the following records: consecutive regular-season starts (253 games and if you are add the playoffs, you are looking at 275 games), most touchdown passes, most yards passing, and most career victories by a starting quarterback

We wish you well Brett!

Go Packers!

Yes, I live in Illinois. I know you think I should be rooting for the Bears. However, I grew up in Green Bay. I use to sell programs at the Packer games. I have actually seen part of a Packer/Bear football game on the field. My parents live within walking distance from there too. Plus, besides football, there is not much more going on.

Today, I wish I would have had Bose speakers when Favre broke the touchdown record. How cool is that? I remember when Favre first played with the Packers. Does that make me old? LOL
