Country Inn and Suites

Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

Last weekend, I had a girl’s getaway at the County Inn and Suites.  I spent the day shopping.  I went and had a great dinner at Maggiano’s.  I also went and saw The Men Who Stare At Goats.  (Interesting movie, let me tell you).  I also got to spend the night at the Country Inn and Suites.  I love this hotel.  Bill and I actually stayed in a Country Inn and Suites on the night we got married.  However, the room I got to stay in was way better.  Want to see why?

Needless to say, I loved these features in my room.  Oh yeah, my other favorite things had to be the FREE wifi in the room.  I’m finding that lots of hotels don’t offer that anymore, and I love hotels that do.  Country Inn & Suites also had a great pool and fitness room too.  Something I do love about them is that their lobbies feel so homey.  I just love their look.  Our hotel had freshly made popcorn waiting for us in the lobby (and let me tell you how yummy it smelled).  What did I enjoy the most though?

I didn’t have to share a nice big bed with two little kids who like to sprawl themselves out!  Thank you Country Inn & Suites for a great woman’s getaway!

Wordless Wednesday: Summer Fun

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

We took these up in Green Bay at Bay Beach when it was hotter than well you know. The kids had a blast at Bay Beach, and that alone makes it worth taking the kids there. What makes it even better is that it is super cheap. Tickets are 20 cents and most rides take one or two tickets. You can literally spend all day there and not spend $20! It makes you forget about real life and all of those problems like needing to buy water heater or pest control products.  There are rides for all ages there.  These pictures were taken while we were on the train (2 tickets).

Watch before you travel anywhere!

Friday, November 16th, 2007

This video (I can’t get it to embed, so you’ll have to click the link to make it work) will make you sick just watching it. It didn’t matter how fancy a hotel either. That is pretty scary. Who knew that the hotels that offer things like wireless routers and room service also offer you a great way to get some serious diseases. I used glasses in my room in Vegas. I now am very much wondering if this occurred there too.

Mexico?

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

I am not sure that we are going to Mexico anymore. Even with my inlaws timeshare, it would cost us $2100. Well, that is no deal. My sister went on spring break for $600. We are now looking at caribbean cruises. We aren’t 100% sure if we are going to be doing that either. We just want to get away, and we don’t care what we do. Anybody have any suggestions?
