Disney On Ice
I just realized I never told you all about our awesome trip to Disney On Ice. This was a first for both Bill and I and the kids. After having gone now, I can only highly recommend it. It was awesome, kept the kids attention, and the tickets are worth every penny. This was Will’s favorite part of the show:

Some other great pictures:

As you can see, the show was awesome. My kids loved it. It was 100 Years of Magic, so we got to see all the Disney characters. We will definitely be heading back next year!

Thank you Twitter and my blog readers!
There is nothing worse than being thousands of miles from home and having your kid get sick and be in the hospital. What makes it worse is when you are on vacation that you spent a ton of money on! However, thanks to the many friends on twitter and the readers of my blog, we were able to somewhat salvage the few days we had left of our vacation.
Honestly, this was the worst vacation ever — and the repercussions have not yet died down. Some of Madison’s test results are still not coming back normal, so we have to get her blood drawn yet again next week. They also have to figure out why this happened (again). I’ll go into this in another blog post.
However, due to some really awesome people contacting people like Lee Ann at Disney, my daughter was able to enjoy the last couple of days. She still is talking about what we did and who we saw. I just wish my resort (who knew what was going from day one and who told me were were just SOL) would have made some effort to do more. We really liked the French Quarter too and would probably stay there again if I can get beyond their nonhelpfulness.
For all of those, people who stepped up for someone they only know online, I can’t thank you enough. I’ve never asked for anything in my life, so when I asked for help that night, it was hard. However, we were able to salvage a couple of days and my daughter remembers more of the fun and less of the hospital. Lee Ann, thanks for everything you did and anybody else behind the scenes that helped this happen, I can’t thank you enough. I’m sending Pixie Dust all of your ways, and I believe good things will come to you for making a 5 year olds vacation.
Now, I still have bronchitis and generally feel like crap, so until I feel a tad better, I still won’t be blogging as much.
