I’m a speaker at Blog Marketing Demystified!
As many of you know, I am heading out to Orlando next week for Izeafest. However, the day before Izeafest, I will be a panel speaker at the Doterati event Blog Marketing Demystified! We will be discussing how bloggers can gain a better understanding of how to fit into the traditional marketing plan while marketers learn how to incorporate blogging into their overall approach. Since I’ve been on both sides of the table, I have a great understanding of this.

Out of the mouth of babes
I was cutting open a clamshell plastic wrapper for some triple A batteries last night (that I had to run out and get). Madison’s Leapster2 had gone dead, and she was whining. Instead of paying attention to what I was doing, I was talking and looking at her when I did it. I cut a nice little V in my thumb with blood squirting everywhere. Madison’s response?
Mom, that’s why I have safety scissors.
Obviously, mom needs a pair too. Sigh.

Fox News! Thanks again!
Nancy Loo is the most awesome anchor in Chicago. Seriously, she is. I’m just saying that, because I actually got to meet her in person (and she is tiny). It was really cool that they invited a bunch of bloggers to see what they do behind the scenes. Here’s all of us behind the news desk:

It was super awesome. However, I was floored when I came across Nancy Loo‘s post thanking all of us for our insight. (and somebody tell me if I didn’t post about this, because seriously Fox was beyond awesome!)
