Marguerite Gene Arenesen (left) a member of the Coast Guard in World War II, George Warren (standing), a Canadian-born immigrant who became a naturalized American citizen at age 17 and joined the Army Air Corps shortly after the Dec. 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor and Thomas M. These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives just so others may get to enjoy freedom. For that I am proud to call them Hero.

Lt. John Madea holds his daughter as she is baptized with holy water from the ship’s bell of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46). This is the fourth person baptized aboard Tortuga since the ship’s christening in 1988, and her name will be inscribed inside the bell as a tradition of the U.S. Navy.

We Should Not Only Mourn These Men And Women Who Died, We Should Also Thank God That Such People Lived
