Is it getting hot in here?

Since I turned 35 this year, I am officially old. To be honest, this is the first birthday that actually bothered me. In getting old, that means natural menopause is right around the corner.

Now with my hormone issues that I have written about extensively in the past, I somewhat welcome this. However, that also means that I am old again. Sigh. I am certainly not looking forward to sleepless nights (oh wait, I stay up all night and work now already) and hot flashes (though I am cold most of the time, so maybe that will solve that problem). To be honest, any changes in my hormone levels scare the crap out of me. I never want to go back to what happens when I have kids (my body doesn’t correctly regulate my hormone levels so I get what I call the neverending period). If menopause throws my body out of whack, I am little worried about how it will react.

However, who knows — when that time comes, I may not have any issues. Or I may have only a couple symptoms. I am going to try not to worry about it now.

For those going through or having gone through menopause, what have to done to cope? Any advice for the rest of us?

Chiropractor

I have been putting off seeing the chiropractor for a while now. I know my back is out of whack. I had my sister’s friend give me a massage last weekend (she’s a massage therapist). She told me that normally she can’t tell when somebody back is out of whack. However, mine is so bad that she could tell. She figures that 3 vertebrates are out of whack.  I know how bad it is.  Every so often I get pins and needles in my hand and my legs.

Yesterday morning when I got up, I could barely walk.  I definitely know it is getting worse now.  The cool thing is that I found a chiropractor at Fall On The Green yesterday.  I actually met the doctor there.  She was really nice and she has a 3 1/2 month old too.   I actually can’t wait to call.  Plus, if I mention that I saw her at Fall On The Green, my first visit is free.
