Its Snowing!

Can you believe it? It actually snowed here in Chicago yesterday. I had to actually put the kids in their winter coats. It’s only October, how crazy is that! Granted, it lasted all of 15 minutes. However, it made for a very slippery trip to the chiropractor. To make things even more crazy, we are suppose to have a high of 68 on Thursday. Then you wonder why all of us in the Midwest get sick in fall. Could it be our crazy weather?
Weekend Plans
We have a very busy weekend ahead of us. Our original plan was to finally finish putting the basement together. We still have a ton of crap in the garage that needs to come in, pictures need to be hung, totes need to be gone through and put away, wall plates need to be put up, etc. However, Bill got invited to a gold outing, so he’ll be doing that all day Saturday! My parents are coming down too, so my dad will be going with him golfing. My mom and I will be stuck with the kids, so I don’t think we will be doing any shopping. However, I think I may try and go into the attic and pull out the kids winter clothes. It is October, so it needs to be done. My only fear is that the minute I put their summer clothes away, it will get warm again. I’m just not sure what we will do with the rest of the time.

My Baby

I was trying Will’s Halloween costume on him yesterday (as you can see in these pictures). It made me realize that he’s not a baby anymore. He is 16 months now and pretty mobile now. He runs (not walks), can climb the stairs, and talks a little too. It is hard to believe that I have to put away his baby clothes and pull out a bunch of 2T items to get him through the winter. It is a bittersweet moment here. I want him to grow up and be more independent, but I miss my little baby too.
