In the world today, cell phones are the “in” thing. This book should fit right in.
Mobile Phone Land is a happy place where each citizen age ten and up have a cell phone. This land is governed by a queen called Miss Toadd. (Toadd is spelled with two D's because of the author's nonprofit TOADD – Texting Organization Against Districted Driving). Her mission is to keep Mobile Phone Land safe, and texting while you are driving isn't too safe! This book is about the safety rules she enacts.
Terrance Texter Adventures in Mobile Phone Land is for kids 4 – 10. I think this book is more for the younger crowd. It is a great way to show the dangers of texting and driving to little kids. If we can get them early, hopefully we can stop a bad habit before it starts. Also, little kids learning that texting is bad can maybe even stop the adults in their life from doing it!
Will (my 5 year old) enjoyed this book. He liked how colorful the pictures are and that it rhymed. I liked it, because it taught a great lesson about texting and driving in a fun way.
