IMG_1919One of the reasons I love this blog is because I get to try the products I know you are all wondering about. One of the latest things I got to review is the Thundershirt. I've always wondered if they really worked.

As you can see, we tried it out on our dog Daisy. She's 2 (almost 3) years old and a boxer/retriever mix. This makes her a hyper silly dog. She completely freaks when people come over, so when Bill's brother and his family came over, it was the perfect test.

I had read that 80% of dog owners reported significantly reduced anxiety symptoms when using a Thundershirt. The Thundershift patent=pending design applies gentle, constant pressure on a dogs torso and this pressure has a calming effect on dogs. It's kinda like swaddling a baby! The thundershirt is suppose to work on thunder, fireworks, separation, travel, barking, jumping, etc.

So does it work? Amazingly, yes! Not only did we notice a change, but so did Bill's brother and his wife. Daisy wasn't jumping all over Nick (Bill's brother) or his kids! She even left Theresa (my SIL) alone when she was cutting our hair. That has never ever happened before. Now, it does say in the directions that it may take more than one wearing to see a difference. We saw a difference the first time! The Thundershirt was also easy enough for me to put on Daisy in about 5 minites by myself.

I can tell you that the Thundeshirt worked wonderfully for us!
