It’s Time to Discuss

I just came across a great site that allows you to state your opinion, and you can see who agrees with you (you can also see how many people disagree with you also!). It is called discuss.fm, and you can totally have a ton of fun on this site. It's super easy to jump in and use. You can state your opinion or just go through the site and vote up (or down) topics. They really have something for everyone. For example, there is this topic: Leaving your child's education completely up to the public school system is a bad idea.

Now, you can have several differing thoughts on this. For me, my public school has been on the No Child Left Behind Naughty list for 4 years. They also cut music, art, etc. Basically, all the “specials” classes. Now, I have a daughter who can hear a song on the radio and then play it on the piano. How would I send her to school without a music programs? Needless to say, I basically agree with this statement. However, I do see the other side. Now, if my school district was different, I may not feel that way. As parents though, we should also be teaching our children at home (aff). Even though I send my kids to private school, I still pay for swim and piano lessons for my kids. This is something they wouldn't get in any school. (Well, not in any schools in my area.)

How do you feel about this statement? Make sure you comment over on their site!
