We’re getting a piano!

My life long dream has been to learn how to play piano. I know, it sounds crazy, but it's one of those things I always wanted to learn to do. Madison also has this incredible ability to listen to song once and start sing to it. Granted, she may not be the best singer, but she is definitely picking up the words. She just seems to have some natural music ability.

I was mentioning this over the weekend to my SIL and MIL that I was thinking about buying a piano for Madison (well, me too). My SIL said they have one sitting in their garage we could have for free! Seriously! We just have to figure out how to move it here, and it's ours.

Now, Will's birthday is this weekend, so it won't be this week. However, we'll definitely have one here soon!

Well, like mother like daughter! I bet Madison's talent is inheritance from you, Lisa. 🙂

Isn't it great how things work out. Family is all about sharing and I'm glad you were so fortunate to get a free piano from the SIL. I hope you and Madison have fun once you get it over to your house.

  3. Last year we got a piano from my aunt. It used to be my grandmothers and I love having it in the house. No one has learned to play it yet but I did buy some books. I need to check into getting lessons for my son.

We paid a piano mover though. It was roughly $400 to move it.

I'm sure you will all enjoy having it!

That's great! A real piano gives adults and young students motivation to practice. Although a keyboard can work well for the first few years of lessons, I've learned that many students practice a lot more because they feel they have a quality instrument to work on.

Getting a piano for my kids was the greatest thing, they love it.
