Whine, Whine, and More Whine

I am guilty of it too. Heck, this post is going to be a whine about whining. I came back today feeling completely refreshed. After checking my email (only 202 messages in my inbox and 2032 in my spam inbox), I checked out some of the forums I hang out in. It was such a downer. Now, I don't mind threads that say I need to rant, because I do that and we all need that sort of outlet. However, it was everything else. I never realized how much negativity was there until I walked away for a few days. It is a real eye opener for me. My goal for next year I think is going to try to be less negative. Granted, this isn't like curing cerebral palsy or anything. However, it is the baby steps that lead you in the right direction. Hopefully, this change in attitude can be reflected in all aspects of my life. We'll have to wait and see . . . .

Heh! You are so right. And for those who love to rant and whine, I hope it helps (like therapy) so they can go back and be more pleasant in their lives outside the Internet. 🙂

I never thought of you as a negative person. Clearly we should hang out together more often. I'll turn you around.

Well, I can piss and moan with the rest of them. lol I'm afraid of what you'd turn me into though. LOL

You are so right about all the negative stuff people post out there. But I think it is great that you have decided to contribute to the positive vibes out there (not that I find your words to be negative). You know if one person is kind and it makes someone else's day and that person is nice to a person…well, it could be endlessly wonderful.

its not just forums and other internet hangouts, the western world is full of negative people, whingers and whiners! Watch documentaries on TV about thirld world countries and look at the number of smiles and the welcome the journalists and camera crews get from the local people who, despite living near/below the poverty line are happy to share their food with westerners – they are so happy and positive despite having nothing, as opposed to most of us in the Western world who are always moaning as life is never quite "perfect"!

I know exactly how you feel. That is why I don't frequent the forums that I belong to quite so much anymore.
