What Is Your Wish This Year?

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Capital One for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

With Black Friday, right around the corner, it is time to get into the holiday spirit. This is the time of year that we are often asked what we wish for ourselves. I know most of us have a list of things we want: new car, new clothes, new electronics, new computers, etc.

I'd love Blackhawks tickets myself.

IMG_0098 Madison has been eyeing up spywear: IMG_0211 This holiday season, Capital One is instead asking people to share theirWish For Others. They want you to share your wish for someone else – a family member, a friend, a neighbor, or a community — with #WishForOtherson Twitter, Instagram, or the Capital One Facebook Pagefrom Nov. 24 through Dec. 23 for a chance to make it come true.

I picked to replace the computer lab at my kids school!IMG_0230

We have old donated computers in our computer lab. We are currently trying to raise $70,000 for the school to update our old technology. When your school only has 120 families, it makes it a bit tough! We were able to get 30 tablets via a school grant program. However, there are 183 kids in our school. Unfortunately, it isn't enough to go around. My Wish for Others would be for new computers in our computer lab that were made in this decade!

We are a stewardship school and parish. This means we give back to our community where we can. (That's actually how the computer lab got the computers we currently have. They were donated by a company upgrading their computers several years ago). Our kids give back to the community in every way they can.
