Zumba, Here I Come!

As part of my Nutrisystem program, I am suppose to exercise 30 minutes a day. I will be honest — I suck at that portion of my program. I find it incredibly difficult to find time for myself on a daily basis. I like to do things like sleep. 🙂

That being said, I have started a Zumba program. It is hard. I am soooo uncoordinated. However, it is a great workout. 🙂 You will have a lot of fun and you will sweat. I was very surprised at my first class though. Did you know that you have to sign a waiver to do Zumba? Me neither! I am sure they are covering their butts in case of dental negligence (you know, you fall and break a tooth) or even a medical negligence claim. However, don't let that form stop you from trying this.

I am geting ready now for my second week. I am hoping that this week is a tad easier. I found out that I can't get my arms to work with my legs and get them to do what I want. LOL Did I say I was uncoordinated? And if I do hurt myself, can you say no win no fee claims? (On a serious note, I am leaving to go work out and not get hurt!).

There are several things I did learn from last week. First, bring water. You will need it. Second, I am eating breakfast before I go. I didn't last week and I regretted it. As I write this, I am actually drinking my protein drink right now! This last piece of advice is for women. Wear a sports bra. I spent half the class pulling up bra straps last week! Okay, off I go. Wish me luck!

Well done Lisa. Few people actually take the step to a healthier lifestyle. I've also seen Zumba in action and it looks like A LOT of hard work 🙂 But in the same breath, it does look like a lot of fun. So to me it looks like a win-win situation. You are getting a good workout and this workout does not feel like a workout.

Here's a tip you may already be aware of. When you start to see and feel the difference Zumba has on your body, ask for a <a>medical requote. You will probably save on premiums because of a active lifestyle.
