10 Ways To Make Your Business Cards Stand Out

If you re like me, you get a ton of business cards. How many of these business cards stick out? Do you remember who gave you what card?

Several years ago I started using Tiny Prints for all my business card needs (both blogger wise and direct sale wise). They create amazing cards and allow me to customize them in exactly the way I need.

This is the business card I currently use. Here are a few things I have done to make my Tiny Prints business cards stand out. I can't tell you how many times I have heard how unique my cards are. I have had several businesses ask me when I get my cards so they can order some, because they are that impressed by them!

Here are my 10 things you should do to make sure your business cards stand out in the crowd:

  1. Make the shape of your card different. Everyone has the boring rectangle card. Want to be remembered? Make them remember your card. There are so many way to do this: make the edges rounded, make your card open like mine, etc.
  2. Include your picture. I find this especially important if you are a blogger. I can connect you to your blog once I get home (aff) from an event much easier when I can see your smiling face.
  3. Include the “social” ways I can contact you. Not everyone is a phone person. Make sure I can reach out to you via Facebook, Twitter, and email.
  4. Make sure your name is on your card. I can tell you that I have attended many blog events and conferences and only a persons blog was listed on the card. If I want to contact you, I want to know your name!
  5. Make sure that the company you are getting your cards from doesn't have their advertising on the back of your card. Yes, I have had companies flip my card over to make sure of this before they would work with me. It falls into you having to spend money to make money.
  6. Make your card your own. The image on the front of my business card is one I've used across all of my blogs. People associated it with me. I've been told it looks like me. It's something that jogs peoples' memories when they look at it. Find something to include on your cards that helps people remember you!
  7. Use your cards as a marketing tool. My cards that I have for my direct sales business I have attached a nail sample too (I'm a Jamberry sales rep.). People love that!
  8. Keep it simple. Your business's about page should not be on the card.
  9. Use both sides to get your message across! My Jamberry cards have a nail sample on the front with my contact information and instructions on the back to apply the nail wrap.
  10. Lastly, spell check and double check your numbers, email addresses etc. You don't want your business cards standing out because there is a typo!

Business cards that stand out can make a difference in getting jobs and orders. You know when you hand your cards out and people compliment you every time that you did a good job and that you will be remembered.

How do you make your business cards stand out? Do you use Tiny Prints for your business card needs?
