2014 Progressive Insurance Chicago Boat, Sports & RV Show

Untitled drawing

This last weekend, my family and I attended the 2014 Progressive Insurance Chicago Boat, Sports & RV Show and had a blast! We are actually in the market for getting a pop-up camper (and we may have found the one we are getting at the show!), so this was perfect for us this year. I always like to show you guys how family friendly these shows are! Here’s a few of the things we did:

– Met John Godwin from the hit A&E television show, Duck Dynasty.

– Experience all the fun and fitness benefits of kayaking

– We climbed aboard a life size pirate ship.

– The kids did the Rockin’, Rollin’ Bubbles. It is the latest craze in water walking sports. Act like a crazy hamster or pretend it’s a log rolling competition, all while inside large inflatable rollers on a pool.  (The funny thing is that the red blob in the background is Bill.  I didn’t realize I even got him in the picture until I showed it to him!)

– We also met SpongeBob!

– And casted a line at the Huck Finn Trout Pond.

We also checked out a few boats and lots of RVs.  If you want more information, please visit ChicagoBoatShow.com. Be a part of the conversation – become a fan on Facebook and follow the show on Twitter, at its new handle @ChiBoatShow.

  1. Oh my goodness, what a wonderful afternoon… Love that y’all got to get in and try the kayaks. Thank you so much for sharing…

  2. The event looks like sooooo much fun! Not a fan of Duck Dynasty, but I kayaking, playing up as pirates, and meeting Sponge Bob are freakin’ awesome!
