This is a guest post.
It’s the day you’ve been dreaming of since you were a little girl. It’s your day to live in a fairy tale. It needs to unique, memorable, and entertaining, a dream come true to you. It’s a day about celebrating love and a lifelong commitment, it’s no wonder you want it to be perfect. You’ve chosen the perfect wedding invites and pearls; all that is left is the venue and a date. It can be a challenge to come up with the perfect backdrop for your perfect day. You want the best environment for the festivities. The budget will control the total number of people on the guest; this will determine what size venue you will need. These three wedding venues are romantic, practical and unique. Your only problem will be choosing just one.
Chapel
We’re going to the chapel and we’re going to get married, going to the chapel of love. There is nothing wrong with tradition; it seems to be overlooked these days. Everyone is trying to outdo one another. A classic is a classic for a reason, you can’t go wrong. This is the perfect setting for an intimate affair. An intimate wedding with only those that are near and dear attending is the perfect way to tie the knot. You can escape to the country and can still have a fairy tale perfect day. The pictures will be whimsical, intimate, picturesque and cherished. All you need is classic touches with simple white flowers and classic gowns. This is a great option for brides wanting a small intimate wedding. There is a natural cozy feeling held by chapels.
Winery
Australia has a large variety of wineries to choose from. Their popularity for wedding venues continues to grow; they are picturesque and have a sense of history. The history of the winery and the method used to bottle the product will make for great conversation post wedding. The conversation will also be helped after the guests sample the wine and compare opinions. Wineries are always surrounded with tremendous views so your wedding photos are sure to be breathtaking. They are getting quite popular so you will need to book in advanced especially if your wedding party is quite large.
Museum or Gallery
This venue would be especially romantic if happened to be the place where you met. If you feel that the materials used to build historic buildings can be cold just think of a blank canvas. The flowers and other decorations will brighten the mood. You may not be able to have the ceremony inside the building but historical buildings make for great back drops. This venue just screams photo opportunities. Check with your local council to find out what buildings are available, they can have a limited basis. Therefore, if you think this is the venue for you please be sure to get in sooner rather than later to be sure of availability.
I recently shot a wedding at a 19th century fort on the coast of Adelaide. The bride and groom were greeted by a guard of honour and they fired a 50in gun salute. Cost them $500 for one shot :/ Interesting though!
We’ve yet to film at a winery. Can’t wait though!
I never know how to position anyone.

I think a museum would be awesome.
I considered all three of these venues for my wedding. I really, really wish I eloped to Vegas and got married at some cheesy chapel by and Elvis impersonator. I know people might think I’m crazy, but it just sounds like a fun idea.
I wanted to get married in a museum or gallery but it was too expensive. 🙁

I actually thought about a historical museum, such as the Conrad-Caldwell House Museum in Louisville, Kentucky, but too late now – already married! 🙂
