Can you believe it is almost summer? Here in Chicago, our weather, I think, has finally caught up to the season we are in! It is time to open the windows and pull out the grill and start thinking about how to get our houses ready for summer parties and BBQs. Here are a few tips I use to get ready for the best time of year:
- Fresh air. As soon as it is nice out, I open all the windows. I love getting the stale old winter air out and letting the fresh new air in!
Stock up your pantry. Who wants to shopping when it is beautiful out? I always stock up on cleaning essentials and paper towels for the summer when they go on sale. I also always buy house brands. We actually don’t have Jewel/Osco down here, but I have some friends up north who love it.

I would buy the Signature Cafe® Fire-Roasted Tomatoes that you have in the picture. I use canned tomatoes for all sorts of things.
I read that fried chicken is part of their signature line and that is one a the few things( 1 of 5) that i eat. I’m a verry verry verry verry picky eater. I eat pizza 1 to 2 times a day and not much else.
I am most interested in trying the paper towels. With three kids, we go through a ton of them.
