International Women’s Day was recognized this month across the world. Rest assured, Netflix is home to girls and women who mean business. Whether it’s Violet’s quick wit, Elena’s activist mentality, or Deidra & Laney’s unorthodox thinking, there’s something for every girl to relate to. Now, for us women – I have been compiling my list of 6 women comedians you need to watch. Binge watching Netflix on the weekends in my guilty pleasure, and I have spent many a weekend watching these phenomenal women doing they thing (and they are pretty funny might I add!).
- Ali Wong. She is, by far, my favorite comedian on Netflix right now. Her Baby Cobra special had me giggling throughout. Any woman who can do standup being that pregnant deserves a medal.
- Katherine Ryan. I will warn you – you may get offended by her standup. Bill and I laughed through her In Trouble comedy special.
- Iliza Shlesinger. She has 3 Netflix comedy specials. I love them all!
- Cristela Alonzo. This is a Latina comedian that tells it like it is.
- Chelsea Peretti. You may recognize Chelsea Peretti from Brooklyn Nine-Nine. She is definitely a character comedian.
- Jen Kirkman. She is the queen of observational comedy on dating, relationships, weddings, divorce and the single life.
Who is your favorite female comic?
Amy Schumer is my favorite female comedian, closely followed by Whittney Cummings. I will check these other ladies out.
I enjoy watching women comedians or any comedians for that matter. I only have one rule we all go by. No filth. If and when they start throwing around disgusting words it is time to tune out and turn off.
I have not heard of any of these comics but I definitely will be checking them out! I’m always looking for something that is fun to watch and will crack me up. I will look out for them on Netflix.
I’m not a super fan of watching standup on tv. I am, however, a fan of being in a live audience!
I’ve never heard of any of these comics! I love Ellen Degeneres. She’ll always be my favorite comedienne.
I love funny female comedians! It’s funny, I tend to find them in shows before ever hearing about them elsewhere. I’ll have to check some of the girls mentioned above that I don’t know 😉
I haven’t watched comedians on Netflix, but I could really use the comic relief lately! I’ll have to keep this list for next time I need a little pick-me-up!

I don’t usually go out of my way to watch comedians for some reason, lol. I like Jeff Foxworthy and Jeff Dunham, but that’s about it. I’ll have to check these ladies out 🙂
Ali Wong hands down is my favorite. Oh my goodness, she is so funny that every time I watch her videos, I am tearing up from laughing so hard! I will have to check out the other females in your list above too. Everyone needs a good laugh!

I love the girl who plays on Chewing Gum. Chewing Gum is actually a Netflix original and the main character writes, directs and acts for the show herself so she is funny and brillant!
Binge watching movies and shows on Netflix every weekend is what I do too. Jen Kirkman one of my favorite comedians along with Melissa McCarthy. Thanks for sharing these amazing comedians.

I’ve not heard of any of these ladies. I’m a Netflix lover so I’m sure I will come across them. Hmmm, I don’t think I have a favorite comedian. Melissa McCarthy, Amy Poehler and Tina Faye are hilarious. I’ve never seen any of them do stand up.
