8 Tips For The Big Game Or Any Party You Are Having

Who doesn't love this time of year? Madison's birthday is at the beginning of January, and my favorite football team is in the playoffs! This year I am sick (if you don't follow me on Facebook, I've currently got mono and pneumonia. 2017 definitely started with a bang.). Therefore, I need all the help I can get! I've used Peapod for years, so they, of course, were my go to for all my party needs.

  1. Paper products. There is nothing worse than missing the last quarter because you are doing dishes. My immediate family is over 20 people, so there are no small parties at our house. After spending many years spending hours at the sink, I got smart. We get paper plates and plastic silverware, and I now know who won the gameA!
  2. Order party trays. There is nothing easier than just pulling out a tray and putting it on the table. I love not having to find a bowl or anything else. They also usually look nicer than anything I could do.
  3. Cupcakes vs cake. I use to always have cake left over. I have a lot less waste with cupcakes plus my kids request them now.
  4. For the big game, fun food is always a hit. I know my family loves these Football Cookies.Football cookies 2-1[yumprint-recipe id='44']
  5. Make lists. Check them twice. Seriously, a list will save you. I make a grocery one and a cleaning one. Then I cross off things as I get them.
  6. Self serve. Beer and wine can be ordered from Peapod, and we just throw them in a cooler. (Check local delivery options to make sure this option is available in your area) Everybody can help themselves to whatever they need and/or want. For the kids, we get juice boxes!
  7. Ask people to bring things. Everyone always asks — take them up on their offer. Less for you to do means less stress for you!
  8. Order from Peapod. Why spend time in a grocery store when you can have your items delivered right to your door? They have great delivery times (and you don't even need to be home (aff) for all of them!). If you are home (aff), they carry everything right into your kitchen! Plus, they take coupons!

These are just a few things I do make a party as stress free as possible. Since Peapod made this party so easy, I have a great promotional code you can use to save $25 off any order $90 (new customers only) or more. Use code SHOPSHARE25 when you check out (this expires12/31/17.)

I was thinking about doing party trays for the big game day, but I decided that I would spend the same amount of money cooking each dish.

Having the right food is important for any party. We always do cupcakes too. Way less waste!

  8. Yummy food platters! Big enough to feed to whole crowd! My tips are to always have paper towels handy – in each room! Buy more forks and less spoons!

These are all wonderful tips for getting ready for game day and game day parties or gathering. We used to have huge parties for years, but I haven’t had one in a couple of years because they are so much work!

Those cookies are absolutely adorable. We typically host a Super Bowl party and I am all about having things individual sized (for example, a cup of guacamole with a flauta nestled in it). Makes the party feel more special.

These party trays are super convenient. We don’t have a lot of options yet here but the one that I’ve been ordering from delivers the food to where the action is.

And I can’t stress enough on how important it is to simply use paper products. It’s the most practical thing to do.
