I really liked A Flower in the Snow. It is such a beautiful book about friendship. The illustrations are gorgeous, and the lesson at the end is one we could all learn. The story is short, so it keeps the attention of my 5 year old. However, I think my 8 year old loved it just as much as the 5 year old! This is definitely a timeless classic.
