How do you incorporate milk into your busy lifestyle? As you all know, milk is a great source of protein especially in growing bodies! An 8-ounce glass of milk has 8 grams of high-quality protein. If you are using non-dairy milk, it may not be giving your kids as much protein as you think. An 8-ounce glass of dairy milk provides 8 times more protein than a glass of almond milk!

We always start off breakfast with cereal and a milk.

My kids can eat whatever they want for breakfast in my house as long as they eat something. Did you know that protein at breakfast can help keep kids feel full and satisfied, so they won’t feel hungry by mid-morning? The funny thing is that my kids usually pick milk and cereal! Mom (that's me) likes this pick, since I know they are getting their fill of protein to start their day! I like my kids to feel like they have a choice, and I am so glad they pick what they do.

My kids' school also has an excellent hot lunch program. The food is organic and whole wheat, and best of all, my kids ask for it. The best part? It comes with milk!

We also have some fun with our snacks as you can see! (I had to buy those cups when I saw them!)

Our pediatrician has always encouraged milk drinking for my kids, so we have also incorporated it into our meals. We have it for breakfast, milk, dinner, and even snacks! My kids easily get their 3 (aff) glasses of milk a day that they need! How do you include milk throughout the day to make healthy snacks or meals? MilkTruth.comcan give you some ideas!

Since this is so important, I have arranged for two of my lucky readers to receive a gift card worth the amount of a free month’s supply of milk (valued at $18 per month)! Here’s what you need to do:

We are actually a milk loving family and go through a lot of it in a week. I love that my boys love it so much!

  2. Sarh S

My kiddos love having cereal with milk as their snack after school. Or they like enjoying muffins and milk and I also cook with milk.

  3. Look at that bowl! I need bowls like this. One of my kids loves cereal, but she hates it IN the milk.

  4. Savannah Miller

My youngest loves milk and I never have a hard time getting him to drink it. Me and my oldest son struggle though to get our daily amount.

  5. Diana Villa

We love milk in everything lol, my daughter eats every day cereal or oatmeal with her milk 😀

  6. Jeanette

My kiddo will not drink milk, so I give him yogurt and cheese a lot and he loves those. Maybe with these mugs he might think more about drinking it!

  7. Andi

My daughter left the nest a couple of years ago, but I still keep milk in the house for cooking and baking. I have incorporated coconut and almond milks into our diets but dairy milk seems to do better with a lot of baking and pan cooking (like in scrambled eggs, french toast, mac n cheese, etc.)

  8. Derrick Johnson

We love milk in our cereal, oatmeal and even chocolate milk! Drink it everyday!

  9. Mykidsguide

My kids love milk. Breakfast in my home is always with milk and they also drink this right before bed.

  10. Camile

Love the cups! My four year old would love to have one. Fortunately, my four year old loves milk and has it everyday in his oatmeal. If only I loved it as much as he does.

  11. Liz Mays

That’s awesome that they choose milk and cereal for breakfast. That calcium and protein is so good for them!

  12. Crystal & Comp

There was a time when a gallon of milk would only last us a day. My kids still drink a fair amount of milk, but it lasts us longer. Those monster hand cups are super fun, by the way!

  13. Annemarie LeBlanc

This is a great giveaway. My family drinks a lot of milk. My children chug it down like its water. I will definitely join and hope to win.

  14. rika

My kids love milk.. they always eat cereal with milk every morning. Thanks for a chance to win 😉

  15. Jeanine

We go through SO MUCH milk. It’s really crazy, but not having to force my kids to drink it is really a plus! It’s great.

  16. ricci

I don’t drink a lot of milk but I cook with it a lot! I need one of those cereal bowls, I hate when my cereal gets all soggy!

  17. Lynndee

I think I am the only who loves to drink milk around here. My husband is more of a coffee and tea person and our son only drinks water or orange juice. I would love for him to drink milk because I know it’s good for the body. I hope I’ll be able to convince him soon

  18. alexandria waning

The amount of milk my daughter drinks, blows my mind. I swear I’m at the store every few days. I have to admit though, I cannot drink milk alone so I have to add to coffee. That’s about all I get. Oooops.

  19. Ann Bacciaglia

I did not realize milk has so much protein in it. The kids love drinking the leftover milk in the cereal bowl. They love a glass with some peanut butter cookies.

  20. Uplifting Families

We don’t drink a ton of milk in our house. I need to make sure my boys drink more. They usually prefer chocolate milk.

  21. Chantal

Milk is so important but is definitely something I do not drink/consume enough of! I really need to work to up my calcium intake!

  22. Julie (xfallenmoon)

I’m kind of torn about milk. I’ve been reading a lot of things about antibiotics and growth hormones that is kind of scary. Plus, cows milk is for cows. However, we do drink milk. Especially my kids under 4, but we try not to drink too much and find nutrients elsewhere.

  23. Rebecca

I have two kids that love milk and two that refuse to drink milk. I give one of them a nutrient filled chocolate milk to get some calcium in, but the other is likely lacking in the nutrients you’ve mentioned. Great heads up that I need to make sure she’s getting a little more dairy in he diet!

  24. Bonnie @wemake7

We love milk here. We go through a lot with the 7 of us! Thanks for the giveaway.

  25. Kathy

I know my girls get enough milk daily, but I know that I don’t. If I have cereal in the morning that’s the only time I have milk. Sometimes it upsets my stomach, so I usually use soy milk. I know how important it is, so I’m going to try to get more each day.

  26. manda

I enjoy milk on cereal or just as a drink

  27. CourtneyLynne

I need to get better with the whole drinking milk thing. It’s so good for you and ughh… I totally slack at milk drinking lol

  28. HilLesha

I used to drink milk regularly until I realized that I was lactose intolerant (e.g. nausea and bloating). Thankfully, I have found that the alternatives (e.g. flax seed, almond, or cashew milk) taste just as a good; whereas my children prefer regular milk. 🙂

  29. Shafqat

I just love milk on cereal or just as a drink..

  30. Janice

love it with cereal and in smoothies!!

  31. Jennifer

That bowl I super cool! I think I need to get some of those for my house

  32. Becca Wilson

We are a big cereal family around here and that is the way we most of the time will get our milk. We have bowls with the straws attached 🙂

  33. Rosie

I make smoothies ahead of time (with milk) and keep them in the refrigerator. I keep serving size containers of milk. I make snacks such as puddings and keep them in the refrigerator. I also keep flavorings such as banana or strawberry to make it more fun and inviting.

  34. Amanda Morris

with cereal mostly or in recipes that call for it

  35. Meredith Miller

I have milk with cereal in the morning, and try to incorporate other dairy foods like cheese in my dinners.

  36. Crystal Warnick

We have milk with each meal. I always tell my kids of you drink milk it will make your bones big and strong.

  37. Crystal S

By drinking it with our meals!

  38. Danielle Jones
