We have lucked out here in Chicago. We have had very little snow, and it has not been all that cold here. Well, that is until this week. This week we have had rain, freezing rain, sleet, and even snow (and that was just yesterday!!!). The really bad thing about that is normally by this time our bodies have adjusted to the super cold weather. However, since it has been so warm, this is a huge shock to most of our systems (unless you are looking for menopause relief. Then walking outside here is perfect!). To be honest, I was enjoying having a forty degree winter. Yes, my kids were missing the snow. However, it makes driving so much nicer. It makes getting the kids to school so much nicer. I just have a feeling that we are just going to get one monster snowstorm and get 12 inches of snow dumped on us again (you know, like last year!).
How has the weather been where you all live? Are you crazy warm or crazy cold? I know I’ve got friends in Florida who have said that it is very cold there compared to what it normally should be. Stay warm! (And if you do need menopause relief, check out Amberen on Twitter or Amberen on Facebook).
It has been warm here in Wisconsin too. Well it's like a roller coaster the temps have been going up and down and we really haven't had much snow either. My kids have enjoyed playing outside but they miss the snow. it did snow yesterday. But like you I think at some point before winter is over we will get a monster storm.
I don't think it's cold at all in Florida. Today is sunny and warm… warmer than normal for this time of year. It's been a super mild winter here… I'm in So Fla!!! 🙂
Odd weather here in Arkansas. 29 degrees at night. Then this Sunday its suppsed to be 64 degrees.
Hi Lisa! I am from the Philippines which is a tropical country and I always wonder what will I feel whenever I hold snow in my hands. I haven't seen a real snow in my life but I remember having a dream, I am with Santa Claus and he let me ride the sleigh so I felt snow in my dreams. I wish I can have a chance to play with my family in the snow. =)

it was weird in Minnesota since there was no snow last Christmas. When usually those times it will have hard snow. It was all dry and sunny day all the way. But during the New Year it pour snow almost all day.
Just like Cathy up there, I also haven't experienced snow all my life. I kind of envy you for that, Lisa. I wonder how it feels to have freezing rain and everything. I hope you'll manage to keep warm, though. Take care always!
