You may have a read my post about a month ago for the Bliss in a Box. We created this awesome arch for the kids with my Extra Space Boxes:
As fun as that was, I know we all have a room or a garage that looks like this:
That is my garage. Yes, it is kinda embarrassing. I have a 2 car garage. I can only park my van in there. This fall (which will eventually come to Chicago I keep being told. It was only 100 degrees today!) Right now, I can’t even tell you what’s over there. This is several years of accumulation! That is where fall/back to school cleaning come into play! I need this space back before winter for a couple of reason. First, we don’t have a driveway. I also live on a snow route. We have 2 cars. See the issue? I’d love for Bill to able to actually park in the garage. Issue #2 is that we want to buy a popup camper in the spring. Since I have no driveway, we need someplace to store this. We have actually already measured the garage and a camper and the van will fit in there.
Extra Space Storage would come in handy for us in a couple different ways. First, we need to box all this stuff up (see bliss in a box post above for all the different size boxes you can get). Second, once boxed, we need someplace to store this stuff if we put the camper in here. My current method of organizing in here is clearly not working. We do a spring cleaning I swear 4 times a year hahaha every time the seasons change!

I’d say the attic. It’s just become a catch-all for the stuff I’m not sure where to put.
Omgosh, our storage room in the basement! We just moved here last year and were thrilled with all the storage space, but you know what happens with that… it gets FILLED. With so.much.crap.
My garage used to look like that too! Just spent a whole saturday cleaning it out and it was so worth it! Next stop is the dining room…which I totally cannot DINE in and I have company coming for the holidays!
When I moved into with my parents temp. to help them out financially I put all my funiture in an Extra Space storage for a year. It worked out great, they had awesome customer service and great perks and low prices.
I’m sad to say that your garage is neat compared to mine! I definitely need to get that area organized!

I need to go through every closet and especially our garage and de-clutter and organize. Could use some boxes.

I need a good cleaning, just haven’t had the time.
i’ve been taking time each day to tackle a long overdue project. it’s slow progress, but it IS progress!
So far we have been able to keep things pretty dwindled down without having to buy extra space, but with 5 people in a 3 bedroom house…I could definitely see it as a possibility at some point in the future. 🙂
All of my kids are now Finally back in school…it’s time to start organizing!! 🙂
I need to clean out and rearrange the office so it looks like…an office.
