Back To School With A Clorox Chicago Pop-Up Shop!

disclosure

This year, The Clorox Company simplified back to school through a partnership with DonorsChoose.org, a website that helps funds projects for classrooms in need, with a $100,000 donation and setting a pop up shop here in Chicago (and also PA) for families in need of school supplies. With the $100,000 donation, Clorox was able to supported 864 projects and ensured that more than 61,000 students will start off their year in clean and healthy classrooms! That is beyond amazing!

How can you also help? By shopping for Clorox®, Hidden Valley® and Glad® products, and then choosing to donate your rewards to DonorsChoose.org! For every $5 spent on participating products, you get back $1 that can be redeemed as a donation to DonorsChoose.org or money off on future purchases. You just snap a picture of your receipt and follow the instructions oncloroxforschools.com to redeem your rewards!

imageClorox also hosted a pop-up shop for Taylor Elementary School here in Chicago. They were named a Breakthrough School by the National Association of Secondary School Principals in 2009 and again in 2013. This was such a great choice, and I was so glad I got to be part of this amazing program. The pop-up allowed both kids and parents to come through and get school and cleaning supplies. The kids were beyond cute and I was even able to hand out a few backpacks myself. They ended up helping out over 500 families! The above pictures is everything each child got in their backpack. Here are a few pictures I got to take of my experience:

I feel incredibly blessed to be a part of such a great campaign. Every child deserves to start off school with the supplies they need to succeed. I was glad to be part of doing some good for a city that really need it.
