What do you do with your family outdoors?  My family and I do a ton of things over the summer.  One of the main activities we take part in during the summer is camping.  That requires a lot of time out in the sun! We fish, we golf, we hike, we just take part in a lot of outdoor activities! We also visit places like the zoo, and you can often find us swimming at grandma and grandpa's house.

That is why I was excited to try Beyond Coastal Sun Care products. I am always on the lookout for great sun care products that my family will like that actually work. I have skin cancer in my family, so it is important to use sunscreen.

Did you know that inactive ingredients can make up more than 80% of your sunscreen's formula? Crazy, I know! However, you need the inactive ingredients, because they are the delivery method for the active ingredients which absorb and block the sun's UVA/UVB rays. (Side note: inactives are the primary source of health concerns such as endocrine disruption and severe allergic reactions.) Beyond Coastal, uses the Whole Foods Premium Bodycare Unacceptable List and the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep Cosmetic Database to help determine which ingredients are clean and safe. Each inactive they choose will nourish, repair and hydrate your skin.

What did I think of the Beyond Coastal Sun Care Line? My family and I really like it. I loved that the sunscreen didn't feel oily like a lot of sunscreen on the market does. Instead, it just felt like I was adding moisturizer to my skin (which I was because many of the ingredients). The facestick make it incredibly easy to sunscreen my kids faces (and mine too!). However, I absolutely love their lip balm. It smells phenomenal, and I don't find myself licking my lips all day. Best of all, it has an spf of 15! The products also aren't heavily scented, so my husband (who has sensitivities to smells) can even use it.
