I moved 7 times before I was in second grade, so needless to say I’m an experienced mover. As an adult, I moved from Green Bay to Burbank, IL, Burank to Aurora, IL and then Aurora back to Burbank when we sold our house. We ended up for about a month having to live out of my in-laws garage. (Who knew my entire house fit into a 3 car garage?) Now, I’m not moving anytime soon, but I have friends who are moving within the next month or two. That is why I took part in the Bliss in a Box challenge. We were going to have some fun with moving boxes before we packed them up to get moved! Now, between us, we’ve got 5 kids (4 girls and 1 boy).
Our Bliss Box Kit contained 11 boxes, packing tape, a marker, and bubblewrap. Here’s what we came up with:
Yes! We used the moving boxes to make an archway to the castle! (Castle not included in the Bliss Box Kit). The kids loved it! I also think we deserve some bonus points for using all the boxes in our creation and using the white plastic that was holding the boxes together when we got them (it’s the bow on the top of the top box). Also, yes that top box is almost touching the ceiling. I could walk underneath this. We also used the packing tape to tape the bow we made on and used it for some counter-balance weight.
What would you do with a Bliss Box Kit?

How cute and creative is this? I would definitely do some serious dejunking with those boxes!
We just moved and are still overrun with boxes – this is perfect!
We’re moving next month so that’s what I’d use the kit for!
I’d, no WE’d clean out our storage room that has not been cleaned out completely for almost 12 years since moving in. Hubby has books from college down there…from over 25 years ago! uggh… We’d be able to donate a lot of things that are just sitting…toys, books, household stuff and maybe FIND a few lost things? I’m with you…I moved 16 times in my life, but the most moves were from age 12 to 40. Been here since, I hope to move ONE more time with the youngest of 6 is all grown, in about 7 years, and one daughter who lives with us along with her baby find their own way in the next years.
We would definitely build a fort!!
A fort. Because I have boys. And I just always wanted to. 🙂
Not sure what I would make, but the cats would have fun!
Love it! I would clean out a little bit of my garage.
How cute! We used boxes for moving and actually packed them down and saved them for when we move again or family needing them. 🙂
I would organize our garage!
How fun! My little dude still loves to play with boxes.
I seriously need to get these the next time we move.
I’d attempt to clean the basement – for sure!
I don’t even want to imagine the task it would be to move us. I’ve got a lot of stuff.
My girls love playing with cardboard boxes. Everytime I get a package in the mail, they beg me to let them play with the boxes. It’s funny how something so simple can keep them entertained for hours.
Definitely closets. Mine are a mess. 🙂
How neat! I would probably just put them away in my attic. I’m not too creative.
Hopefully, I won’t be needing moving boxes any time soon but I adore what you did with them.
Fun! My girls are obsessed with playing with boxes. We’d probably build a fort and then use the boxes to put away some of their clothes.
Sort the kids clothing!!
clean out my holiday room I swear I can’t even get the door open
My kids have always loved creating things when we get large boxes.
That’s really cute how you have it set up. Personally, I’d use for my closet – I have too many clothes and shoes – ugh!
I’d probably clean out garage because it looks like a junk yard hit it!
Well, since I’m trying to purge our home, my boxes would get used in that project!
How cool!
oh that is funny!! I thin i would clean out that closet of mine. I probably have 900 books in there.
trisha
We would have to make a pirate ship for sure!
I’d clean out the garage.
