Bright Green Review and Giveaway

This contest is now over. The winners are Terra Heck and Marianna! Congrats!

If you are worried about all the chemical you use in your home (aff), then the Bright Green line of products is right up your alley.  Bright Green household cleaners are biodegradable and don't have any phosphates, chemicals, or residual toxins that you have to worry about.  I recently tested out two of their products, and we definitely like them.

00079893200057The first product that we tried was the All Purpose Cleaner.  Since it is dye free, it is a clear solution (which means you have to be careful where you leave it if you have little ones.  I swear Will thought it was water).  It is not tested on animals.  It is lemon scented.  However, when you use it, the scent doesn't knock you over.  For me, I love the lemon scent, because you can smell that I actually did clean (see, stay at home (aff) moms don't just sit and watch their soaps all day).

00079893200217The concentrated Dish Washing Liquid was also a hit in our house.  Even though it is has no petroleum solvents, it was still tough on grease.  There was no elbow grease that had to be applied to get clean dishes.  It did all the hard work.  This too has a great lavander scent, so you'll actually find yourself relaxing a bit while you are doing dishing.

I also was able to try out their reusable tote bags.  The totebag itself is made of 65% recycled bottles (which equals about 4 plastic bottles!).  It is machine washable, and it sure beats (aff) using the plastic bags that you get here.  It's the little things that we can do that really make a difference, and Bright Green allows us to make those little changes.  We all want to save the world, but we have to do it one step at a time.

I have arranged for two of my lucky readers to get one of these fabulous tote bags.  Here's what you need to do:

  1. I would like to try out their laundry detergent. We have been having some issues with the brand we're using now and I'm wondering if a more environmentally friendly product would also reduce some of the allergy type problems we're having.

  2. The 2X HE Liquid Detergent Natural Lavender sounds really nice. That would have my laundry smelling really nice! Thank you!

  3. Any light bulb that can last nine years is the one I would like to try out. The CFL Twist Bulb – 23watt – 2ct (100 watt), that's the one for me.

  4. i have always been earth friendly.
    I recycle anything of value.
it would be nice to clean with something that gives back to Mother Earth.

  5. I'd live to try the All Purpose Cleaner. It's the product I use most around the house and am always on the lookout for a fabulous green product!

  6. Safeway is a superior grocery company. I enjoy shopping at a Safeway near me.
I haven't seen the Bleach-64 ounces there yet but then I wasn't look for it. You can be sure I will on my next shopping day. Thank you for the contest.

  7. I'd like to check out the laundry detergent, I've tried Seventh Gen and honestly didn't love it, I'd like to find an environmentally friendly product.

  8. I'd like to try the all purpose and the floor cleaners- I love products that are safe, smell great and get the job done.

  9. I'd like to try the Bath Tissue – Double Roll – 6ct . This is a paper product we're not going to do without and I'd love to find a "green" product that works well.

  10. I'd like to try the 2X HE Liquid Detergent Natural Lavender, it's hard to find HE detergent that smells good! Thanks!

  11. I'd really like to try the bathroom cleaner. I hate everything I've used thus far. They smell so chemically laden and probably are.

  12. I have tried most of these products and I am happy that they are safe to use around the kids. I would like to try the Toilet Bowl Cleaner AND win that tote bag.
