Cars 2

My kids are huge fans. Well, I have to agree with them. I'm a huge fan too! I was anticipating the Cars 2 (aff) movie just as much as them. However, I wasn't expecting to say that I think Cars 2 (aff) is better than the first one!

The quick synopsis of the movie is:

Lightning McQueen and Mater head overseas to compete in the first ever World Grand Prix and get caught up in international espionage and a race to save the world.

Quick trailer too:

What amazed me was how they were able to really make this a story about Mater and McQueen. The race really plays second fiddle to the whole story. There are some great themes throughout (like accepting our friends for who they are, we can do things beyond what we think, etc). We laughed, we cried (okay, it didn't get quite that emotional), and a good time was had by all.

Now, my kids are 4 and 7 and we won't get into how old I am. However, we all loved this movie. When this comes out on DVD, it will definitely be added to our collection. However, since it just gets into theater today, go see Cars 2! It is definitely worth it.

This was such a letdown I really hope they don't even bother with a third one. Brave was pretty good.

Yeh that looks that a great film. I'll have to see it.
