disclosure

As you all know, we love the Chicago Toy and Game Fair here. I’ve been taking my kids for years. They look forward to it each and every year.  We love this yearly family outing, and we always come home with games to play!  That all being said, the Chicago Toy and game Fair isn’t just playing games.  There is so much to see:

    • Walk inside the World’s Largest PomPomWow!

    • Super Power Sensory Hour 9:00 am – 10:00 am hosted by The National Lekotek Center providing early access to families of children with special needs

    • Inventor Meet and Greet throughout both days!! Want to meet the inventor of BopIt? Operation? Jenga? Nerf? Twister? You can say “hello” and get inside knowledge from all – they’ll at the Fair. Also meet upcoming inventors and try their products out. You’ll be able to say you knew them before they were hot!

    • Yo-Yo Championship – Contestants from Coast to Coast

    • Attend the Star Wars Lunch

    • Enter the Young Inventor Challenge & Young Tech Challenge (free!) Amazing Prizes & Meet Toy and Game Executives and Inventors

    • Test drive vehicles from Razor, Peg Perego and RadioFlyer Mini Tesla!!

    • Mommy & Gracie Show Unboxing! Did you catch last year’s unboxing?? https://youtu.be/wslvGlPjDQs

    • IllumiCraft STEM-based Craft Party with Gift

    • Upon A Craft Line Holiday Project

    • Be entertained by Ben’s Giant Bubble Show (my kids LOVED this)

    • Interactive Exhibits

    • Giveaways, Stage Events, Magic Shows, Contests, Laser Tag, Crafts, Characters, GameTruck, Knockerball and much more!

14705887_1193077057404784_6756829383845059273_nSeriously, there is something for everyone!  This year, however, we are surprising the kids with the Star Wars Luncheon! Will is a stormtrooper this Halloween (and last year he was Darth Vadar), so he is going to flip his lid when he finds out!

Want to join us?  Your ticket includes the following:

  • Photo opportunities with characters from the Star Wars 501st Legion: Vader’s Fist
  • Saturday Admission to the Chicago Toy & Game Fair
  • Special prizes and giveaways
  • Buffet Lunch

14717223_1193077174071439_1535863847358021940_nSince we are all parents, I know you want to make sure that there is something on the menu that your kids are going to actually eat.  (Can you tell I have a picky kid?)  I went and found out for you all exactly what they can get:

  • R2D2 Dogs
    (Chicago-Style Hot Dogs)
Served on warm poppy seed buns with all the fixins to include ketchup, mustard, relish, diced tomatoes, diced onions, sport peppers, and celery salt

  • Chewbacca Nacho Bar
warm cheese sauce, jalapenos, diced green onions, diced tomatoes, and sour cream

  • Assorted Jumbo Wookies
chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin and peanut butter

  • Darth Brownies
    (Fudge Brownies)

  • Jabba the Punch, Iced Tea and Lemonade
    (Fruit Punch)

My picky eater will definitely eat off this menu!  Okay, I am going to be honest Bill and I are beyond excited ourselves.  Shhh, don’t tell anyone.

Now, Navy Pier parking can be pricing, so I want to help you out with that.  I highly recommend reserving your Chicago Toy & Game Week parking spot in advance with SpotHero, a parking reservation service that helps drivers find and book parking online!  To find and reserve your spot today, visit the ChiTAG SpotHero Parking Page  or download the iPhone|Android app  to book your spot from your phone!  If you are new to SpotHero, enter promo code CHITAG at checkout for an extra $5 off parking!

Have you been to the Star Wars Luncheon?  What part of the Chicago Toy and Game Fair sounds the best to you?  What part of the Luncheon would you (or your kids) enjoy the most?

My son is a die hard Star Wars fan. This would easily put me on the top of the Best Mom Ever list. I wish they had one closer to DC.

The Chicage Toy and Game Fair sounds like so much fun. I would love the Inventor Meet and Greet along with the Star Wars Luncheon. My kids would have loved both of these when they were younger and I know my niece’s kids would love both these events. Thanks for sharing the information.
