Clean Out Your Garage Day Giveaway

“National Clean Out Your Garage Day” is an observance dedicated to educating Americans about garage safety. This year, Ace Hardware and Quickie are joining The Lehigh Group, manufacturer of Crawford branded garage organization products, making the 2012 program the largest campaign to date.

Slated for Saturday, Sept. 8, this year’s “National Clean Out Your Garage Day” campaign will focus on teaching people how to perfect their parking zones by providing tips for organizing and preventing garage accidents.

To celebrate, Crawford has prepared organization kits filled with essential tools for ensuring the highest level of garage organization.  When mine arrived at my house, my husbands eyes lit up!  These kits are filled with the following items: (ARV $83.16):

*   Crawford 16” Adjustable Storage Organizer: Designed for use anywhere in your home, garage, workshop, tool shed or basement, this system is great for hanging brooms, rakes and other lawn supplies.
*   Crawford Sliding Spring Grip Organizer: Grips slide into position anywhere along the bar for maximum use. Guaranteed to never lose tension, the grips can hold hardware, garden tools, shovels and more.
*   Quickie 2-in-1 Squeegee Pushbroom: This 2-in-1 pushbroom is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. Effortlessly sweep away dirt and debris or use the built-in professional-grade squeegee to push away excess water.
*   ACE Multi-surface Pushbroom: This durable pushbroom is perfect for sweeping heavy debris, including caked-on dirt, gravel and construction materials.
*   Lysol Sponges: Super absorbent and safe on most surfaces, these sponges can help tackle any tough mess.

The brooms are out personal favorites.  🙂  Did you know that nearly four in 10 (39 percent) have tripped over an item in their garage, more than a quarter (27 percent) have hit an object when opening a vehicle door and 22 percent have accidentally hit something when parking?  Some scary statistics there that I am guilty of too!

Since we all need to clean our garages, I have arranged for one lucky reader to get this organization kit!  Here’s what you need to do:

  1. I want to win becasue I am moving to a house with an icky garage.

Also, huge request – Punchtab is a PITA. In order for my entry to register for following @blm03, I have to unfollow you first. I've reported this to them on Twitter a zillion times but they conveniently ignore me. Their support sucks and they really don't deserve to be used.

Giveaway Tools is better.. I know you usually use Rafflecopter, and I like both of those (I prefer Rafflecopter becasue it's more condensed) but Punchtab is just a joke 🙁

    1. @Tamar, I went to punchtab because Rafflecopter has turned into a pain for me to use running the giveaway. I am having to spend countless hours verifying entries to all of my giveaways since Rafflecopter allows you to click that you did something whether you did it or not. And sadly, yes people do enter giveaways and don't do what they are suppose to. Plus, it gives me more tracking ability on the back end which I need to show PR people so I can get you more giveaways. 🙂 I knew about the Twitter thing but that beats me having to verify that 200 people actually followed me and didn't just say they did.

I'll check out Giveaway Tools. 🙂 I can't guarantee I'll use it but I'll check it out.

  2. because i always get stuck helping clean someones garage…i am a good organizer and my parants and my brothers and sisters always ask me to come over and help. like my sisters garage sale coming soon.

  3. <3 These items would be useful for the garage AND the house! A good push broom is soo useful as are the rest of the give-away items. Thank-you for sharing this opportunity with us. 🙂

  4. Because we just bought a huge old farmhouse with many sheds, etc…all of the outbuildings are filled with "stuff", and with money tied up from buying the house, we may never clean them out…lol..

  5. I want to win because I am in the process of moving to a new home and a lot of these things would come in handy 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway!

  6. Since having our son in 2009, we have not had time to clean our garage. We still have baby toys that he does not play with anymore in the garage. We also have had another family member come and live with us who is unemployed, which means additional junk in the garage. This would motivate us to clean the garage out.

  7. I'd like to win this because right now our garage could use some help… there are leaves all over in the corners (cobwebs too), and stuff is piled randomly on the shelves and floor.
