Diggerland: Can You Dig It?

You know you've hit the nail on the head when you head to a place called Diggerland. If your kids have ever (well, even you because they have an entire adult section) had any interest in construction, Diggerland is a must stop!

Diggerland USA is the only construction themed adventure park in North America where children and families can drive, ride and operate ACTUAL machinery. The park, which covers about 14 acres in West Berlin, NJ (20 minutes from Philadelphia and a little over an hour if you are coming from Wildwood NJ like we were), hasover 25 attractions.

The majority of attractions are real, diesel powered, full size, pieces of construction equipment. Each machine has undergone advanced engineering modifications which make them safe for the public.

The number one question is how old the kids should be when you take them. Diggerland USA is appropriate for children who are at least 36 inches tall. Children under this height are free to enter the park, however they will be limited to the attractions they may participate in.

All rides do have height restrictions, which you can find on theirride restrictions page, however there are special attractions in the park for even the youngest of children, like the Dig-A-Round and Kid Zone.

There truly is something for everyone at Diggerland!

There was even a playground, rock climbing wall, duck races, and gem mining.

We drove full size backhoes, dug giant holes with real excavators, and operated/rode just about every sort of construction machine you might imagine.

I can honestly tell you that there were kids of every age and sex there all having an amazing time! I can honestly say that my kids had a great time here. We had a great time watching the kids get hands on experience with machinery they may never touch in their lifetime. Who knows, they may have found a love of construction now!

Now that you have seen Diggerland, can you dig it?

This looks so fun! My friend brought her son here, and he had an absolute blast. And my neighbor’s son was fascinated by some road work in front of his house, so I recommended Diggerland. What a neat concept!

This looks like so much fun! I think it is great that kids are able to experience operating heavy equipment. It would give them a better understanding of the work that goes on in the construction world.

This looks like an absolute blast! This would be an amazing learning experience for the younger kids as they gain knowledge and understanding about operating heavy machinery and what it is like working in the construction field.

I would like to visit Diggerland too! What an awesome experience for the family. I would like to try my hand using the back hoe and the bulldozer too. My boys would probably try to outdo each other on who could dig out the most dirt. 🙂
