It is hard to believe that the kids are back in school. This year, my kids tiny little school lost about 30 kids. That means we may be on the chopping block for next year for school closings. The more money we can raise for the school; the better chance we have to stay open. My kids school has been around for 60 years, so it would be sad to see it close. (Plus, my daughter is in 6th grade this year. It would be incredibly difficult to move her to another school in 7th grade!). Our school is so amazing, because we are so small. Everybody knows everybody else. We all watch out for each other and help each other out. One of the moms just had back surgery, and we are now arranging for families to bring her dinner till she gets back on her feet.
I am the Tyson® labels coordinator at school. Since we are so small, it takes us a long time to gather enough labels to send in. We’ve been at it 2 years now, and we have only had about 100 turned in! Walmart has a great contest going on. What you need to do is visit Walmart.com/ProjectA+ and nominate your school by sharing why your school needs a head start on collecting Tyson® Project A+™ labels. Once you submit your reason, you will get the option to share your post on your OWN social feeds to drive your community’s involvement. The school with the most nominations will receive a packet of labels worth $1,000 to help their school get a head start on collecting Tyson® Project A+™ labels. I know that this would be truly helpful for our school.
I love that I don’t have to do anything that I’m not already doing. My kids love Tyson® Fun Nuggets, Tyson® Chicken Nuggets, and Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips. (Tyson® actually has a huge list of products taking part in this program.) This is one of the easiest ways to make money for our kids’ schools!
What would your kids school use $1,000 towards?

Tyson has always been a favorite of our’s. Their chicken is so tasty and juicy!
My family is big on Tyson too. I think helping the schools makes a great brand even more appealing.
This is such a popular topic for blogs lately. Great program and cause.
