Eye Surgery – Oh My!

As many you may remember, I've had a sty on my eye since June.  Yes, you read that correctly — June.  Well, I still have it.  About a week ago (per a request from my eye doctor), I visited a surgeon.  I'll be having this removed next Wednesday.  I've got a 7-14 day recovery, and I may not be able to drive for a few days.  (Getting the kids to school will be interesting).  We are at the point that leaving it isn't an option since it isn't going to go away on its own any time soon.  Instead, it can change the shape of my eyelid.  I'm currently on an eyedrop antibiotic and an oral antibiotic.  After the surgery, I think we'll add a topical one.  🙂  I'm glad I can keep Walgreens in business.  🙂
