I live with a tween. It is very important that my daughter knows that she is perfect the way she is. This has forced me to reevaluate my own self talk to myself. It has forced me to be happy with my body, so she realizes she doesn't have to be a size zero to be happy. I make an effort to not talk about all things I'd like to change. Instead, I talk about how my boxing classes is sculpting my body to the way I want it to look. I talk about positive changes we have made in our lives to be healthier. I make it a point to be a good example to her (which is part of the reason why I lost 80 lbs. and our family has gotten healthy. My husband has lost almost 70 lbs.). I feel beautiful for my kids.
