GenoPalate is a genetics-based, personal nutrition company. They empower people with their genetic information to walk into a store and know which foods are healthier for them, based on their genes. So, how does it work?

They analyze 100+ genetic markers that determine your specific needs to 26 vital nutrients such as carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and sodium. Then they compute your genetic profiles with over 3 (aff) million genetic and nutrient variables to recommend the foods that you would benefit from eating more of. Your “Eating For Your Genes” report includes your genetic results, what they mean, and a personalized list of the 60+ foods that you can use to eat healthier, based on you. Their research is based on high-impact clinical trials and population studies that directly link positive health outcomes with nutritional genomics.

I had them do a report on me. Now, there are two ways to do this. You can get the saliva kit or if you have done the medical testing with 23&Me or Ancestry, you can upload that. If your DNA is already done, you can expect a report in two to four weeks. Otherwise, from the time GenoPalate sends out your kit, your wait will be four to six weeks. So what did I learn?

Quit eating dairy and gluten. I knew I was lactose intolerant so I avoid dairy already. However, I didn't know I also had gluten sensitivity.

Here are a few of the foods I should be eating. I love strawberries and kiwi and pumpkin and carrots already! Woohoo!

I should be eating foods high in all these vitamins!

Few presents will give you more power than GenoPalate. The next time you’re in a supermarket and standing in front of the Seafood section, you’ll have the power of your genetic information to know which fish is healthier for you based on you. If you are like me, you can also make big changes in your diet for a better you!
