Getting Your Dog Clean With Rufus & Coco

This is a sponsored post in partnership with Rufus & Coco. All thoughts and opinions are mine.

There is nothing worse than a smelly dog. I know this because well, my Daisy was a smelly dog needing a bath.

We were so happy to use our Rufus & Coco products to bath her and make her coat shiny and new again. Did you know that dog shampoo with natural, completely non-toxic ingredients is better for your pooch than human shampoo? Dog skin has a different pH level to humans. A human’s shampoo is around 200 times too acidic for a pet’s skin! The skin of a dog is only 3 (aff) to 5 cells thick, while human skin is around 10 to 15 cells thick. Chemicals or acidic shampoos very quickly damage your dog’s thin skin layers.

Rufus & Co is Australia’s most awarded pet brand and is named after the two most popular dog names in Australia. It offers exclusively all-natural products designed to gently but thoroughly clean and groom dogs—even your canine mate with the most sensitive skin. Rufus & Coco’s hypoallergenic fresh fragrance is designed to evoke the feeling of the Aussie backyard. Also, Rufus & Coco washes are concentrated – so a little goes a long way. This popular line of dog grooming products can be found at 1,400+ PetSmarts nationwide.

Today was bath day for Daisy. I will warn you that Daisy is usually jumping up drinking the stream of water, so I'm actually shocked I got this shot. She's 8 years old, but still acts like a puppy.

We chose the See Me Shine 2 (aff) in 1 Wash for our doggy bath time. Itis a gentle shampoo and conditioner in one, suitable for all pets. It is pH balanced and containsAustralian Sea Minerals for a deep, fresh clean and added shine, hydrolysed wheat proteins and starches, plus Panthenol to condition and strengthen hair, acoconut derived surfactant to gently and safely clean the skin and coat, and afresh hypoallergenic unisex fragrance.

Daisy sat really well for her bath.

Dare I say she enjoyed it? We surely did! We finished with the 3 (aff) in 1 Pamper Spray which is pH balanced, and Boosted with wheat proteins, vitamin E and Panthenol. It is super easy to use too – simply spritz on and tousle or brush through! It is formulated to de-tangle, deodorise and add a high shine in one spray!

You can easily get the show dog look with this spray, and it is so easy to use! Between washes, we will also be using the Water Free Wash. Itis a powdered dry shampoo for pets, that makes it so easy to avoid the fuss, mess and stress of washing your dog! It contains non-toxic ingredients formulated to clean by absorbing natural oils and dirt, neutralise odour in the coat leaving it with a fresh scent, prevent static, and add volume and body to the coat.

As you can see, Rufus & Coco have a ton of really great products. We were impressed with the ones we tried out. They were easy to use, Daisy enjoyed it, and I love that they are good for her skin. We don't have to worry about her having a reaction (because only I have a dog with more allergies than me).

Bathtime for Daisy is great fun here! Does your dog love taking a bath? What do you love about these products?

This sounds like a great line of dog care products. I will definitely keep it in mind should we get another dog someday.

  2. Amber Myers

Oh cool, this sounds like a great line of products for dogs! I always like it when pets smell good. We only have cats, and they would not allow baths but luckily they do a good job cleaning themselves.

  3. Alli Smith

Our dog loves bath time. He always loves drinking water out of the water hose. He’s so funny like that. I’ve never heard of this brand of doggie shampoo, but I’ve been wanting to try other brands and I really like the idea of all natural products.

I’m always looking for the best things for our dogs. We take them to a professional groomer, but I think an inbetween shampooing would be helpful.

  6. Rachel

Our dog hates bath time. He is always trying to climb out of the tub. We started smearing peanut butter on the shower wall. He sits and licks, I wash.

    1. Helen Greene

Lol Rachel that is genius! I will have to try that, but I’m not sure he’ll fall for it… I guess I’ll have to see just how much he likes peanut butter.

  7. Tomi C

Our beloved doggy HATES bathtime. He gets so nervous so we leave bath time to the groomer. He has really sensitive skin so hypoallergenic products like Rufus & CoCo would be ideal for him.

I need these products for my two dogs. Our Jack Russell Terrier’s hair tends to be so waxy most of the time.
