Instructions

Directions :

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and spray a doughnut baking pan with Pam baking spray
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt
  • In a small bowl, whisk together egg, milk, butter, and vanilla extract
  • Combine the wet ingredients in with the dry ingredients and mix until well combined
  • Spoon batter into doughnut pan and bake for 10 minutes
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool for 6 minutes before removing and placing the doughnuts onto a wire rack
  • Repeat steps until all batter is used

Icing Directions:

  • Using a standing mixer, combine the powdered sugar, corn syrup, milk and vanilla extract and mix on medium
  • to high speed until smooth and thick
  • Scoop about 1/4 C of the icing into 2 bowls
  • Add a few drops of red to one bowl
  • Add a few drops of black to the second bowl
  • Scoop the two icing's into their own piping bag

Decorating directions:

  • Dip the doughnuts into the white icing and place onto a wire rack that way excess icing can drip onto the cookie sheet below
  • Place a candy melt onto the center of the doughnuts
  • Allow doughnuts to dry for 20 minutes
  • Using the red piping bag and pipe the veins onto the doughnuts
  • Using the black piping bag, pipe a pupil onto the center of the candy melt
  • Allow doughnuts to continue to dry for another 30 minutes before enjoying!
