Honey Edible Slime

My kids love slime. I can't tell you how many times I have found little baggies of it floating around the house, the car, the basement, you know, basically everywhere. It is truly something that all kids seem to love. That's why I was excited to try out some edible versions of slime. No more finding slime everywhere! When the kids are done, they can eat it! Plus, you know that this is made from household ingredients that you put together for nontoxic slime. I know people including myself are looking for slime that isn't made with borax or glue.Ā You don't have to worry about the littlest ones eating slime anymore!

Without further ado, here is how to make honey edible slime (Please note, this is hot so your kids will need adult supervision):

First, pour a bag of Bit O Honeys (unwrapped) into a bowl.

Heat for about 15 seconds a time until its just melted. It will be VERY HOT.

Next, by the tablespoon, add powdered sugar to the bowl and stir.

Keep folding powdered sugar until it starts to form into a ball.

Once no longer hot, take from bowl and knead. (Note: put powdered sugar on your hands to keep from sticking to you).

It feels a bit like taffy and you are done. It's really that easy.

The kids will have a blast playing with their honey edible slime and you'll be the best mom around!Ā I have to admit this is so easy to make we'll be doing it all the time now!

We do encourage our children to play with their food but only certain food. Good to know this is hot and children need supervision when making this edible slime.

Our kids love slime. I never thought of making it using Bit oā€™ Honey candies though. GREAT idea! Well that is if we donā€™t eat them all before we start playing with them.

  3. Rachel

I love the idea of edible slime. I have a 7-year-old who always ends up getting it everywhere, and I know she eats it. Edible is the only way to go with her.

I have to be honest, I am so glad that my girls were not into playing with slime when they were young. It looks like a mess to me. Making it edible sounds interesting but gross to me. Iā€™ll have to pass this recipe onto my friends that have young ones.

That looks like FUN! I wonder if you could do it with tootsie rolls? Iā€™d love some chocolate edible slime!

This is such a great idea Iā€™ve seen a few videos on instagram on how to make this. But to be honest i am concern on toxic material they use. This is a great alternative for sure.
