How To Train A Dragon Live Spectacular

Are your kids fans of How To Train A Dragon? If so, you have to take your kids to How To Train A Dragon Live Spectacular.

This show was created by DreamWorks Animation and delivers some of the most ambitious theatrical technology to ever tour the arena. I can honestly tell you that you have never seen a show like this. This show takes place on the floors and the wall and even in the air. My kids and husband have never walked out of a show as impressed as they were this morning. I will warn you though – at the beginning, my 5 year old was a little scared. However, by the end, he thought it was great.

The live production rolls fire-breathing action, epic adventure and heartfelt laughter into an original captivating story set in the mythical world of Vikings and wild dragons. Based on the book by Cressida Cowell, it centers on Hiccup, a Viking teenager who doesn’t fit in with his tribe’s longstanding tradition of heroic dragon slayers. Hiccup’s world is turned upside down when he encounters a dragon that challenges him and his fellow Vikings to see the world from an entirely different point of view. The story presents a vision so grand in scale that only DreamWorks Animation and Global Creatures could bring How to Train Your Dragon to life in front of a live audience.

Having seen the movie, we knew the story. This show represents the story well. However, the impressive part of this show is how with the projections you at one time feel in the air and the next minute we were under water. It was like watching a 3D movie without the glasses. The dragons — well, there are no words to describe them. I could not believe how life like they were.
