Huru Humi Giveaway!

Huru Humis will be one of the big gifts that everyone is going to want for Christmas this year. They are made for children ten and up. However, my 4 year old and 1 year old love them too. Each Huru Humi has its own name and distinct personality. Their interests range from sports to journalism. We have two of them, and I swear I have teenagers living in my house now. If I don’t check, Madison has been sneaking them into her bed with her at night too.

The reason I like these is that they interact with you. You are able to ask them questions, and they actually will respond to you. The other cool thing is that if you put two Huru Humis next to one another, they start talking to one another! They will have a whole conversation with or without you. These definitely teach your kids many social skills.  It shows them how to have a conversation, not to interrupt, and have differing opinions.  They are fairly easy to use, so kids of all ages will be able to use them.  If you quite talking to them, they even try to get your attention.  Another feature that my kids love is that their hair and outfits are interchangable too.

I have already seen commercials for these on, I think, Nick Jr or one of those kid stations, so you know this is going to be big. Each Huru Humi costs $29.99 and can be purchased at Walmart, Target, Kmart and Toys R Us. However, if you do not want to wait to get one of these, I was able to get not 1, not 2, but 3 of these to giveaway to my lucky readers.  Now, two will be given away randomly.  The third one will be randomly given away among the people who make a Huru Humi video.

  1. iId love to get a Huru Humi for my great niece for Christmas. If my house doesn't sell before then I won't have much of a shopping budget, so free would be a terrific price!

Tweeted and Stumbled – I'm skeeterbess both places. Will try to blog and or do the video thing later, but need to get back to packing & stuff. Nice contest – mahalo!

OH, Lisa – these Huru Humi's sound wonderful! Now I know what to get for my Granddaughter for her birthday in November – THANKS 🙂

And, if I'm lucky enough to win one she'll have two so they can talk to each other when she's at school…

  3. These are so cute! I've seen similar but they were not as cute as these! Thanks for being all over it and giving us a heads up!
My son has a friend since birth almost; us moms were pregnant at the same time. His friend Joy would love one these and it just so happens, she's on our Christmas list!
The child is a walking talking blabbermouth (yes, her mom agrees lovingly!) so she needs someone to "talk" to when there are no "victims" nearby!

  4. It's been years since I've been buying toys (and mostly legos, too! 🙂 but these look adorable and I know a little four year old girl who would absolutely love one of them. Besides, she does not live in US and that would be an easy way for her (and good motivation) to learn English… 😛

    Thank you!

  5. What a nifty thing…. my granddaughter, who is 9, would love it… This would make a great holiday gift…. So anyway… I am commenting, I stumbled… the rest will have to wait til after work! I'll be baaaackkkk

  6. I would love this for my grandchildren and the number one reason is the one named Veronica. My moms name and what a great way for them to always know and remember their great grandmother. Plus the fact they are so cute!

  7. Why do I want this…I have many nieces to buy Christmas gifts . I love to buy things they do not think I know about. the "cool gifts"…thanks for the giveaway.

  8. Hi Lisa,

Those look like a lot of fun! 🙂 I've seen a commercial too, and my kids want one really bad! I'd have to figure out a way to keep them from fighting over it! 😉

  9. These are going to be a hit. I would love to win one to give to my niece. She gets so easily bored and would keep her entertained immensely.

  10. My son loves these and is asking for one from Santa. These are so adorable. I love how they interact with each other.
Thanks so much for this giveaway.

  11. 😛 Lisa, you do the coolest posts gal. I want to ask you and your readers some questions at some point. I hope you will allow me to present them to you when you have some time.

In the interim, I wanted to stop by and tell you what a great job you are doing informing, entertaining and engaging your readers! Holler at me when you get the chance okay? 😮

    Always,

    Phil

  12. I'd love to have this to give to my neice for Christmas. We are so broke this year, we can't afford to give presents, but it's so unfair not to be able to give my neices and nephews gifts. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  13. I would love to win a Huru Humi doll for my granddaughter. With the economy so bad and my being retired it is hard to get by this Christmas. My daughter has 4 children and only one girl. This would be a gift she would love

  14. These dolls look really unique and fun. My daughter would love to have something like this, it would be fun for her to be able to interact with it. Thanks so much for such a wonderful opportunity!

  15. My daugther really loves her Pixel Chix and this looks like it would be right up her alley! Please pick me so I can stick this under the tree and put a big ole smile on her face! 😉

  16. This sounds like a really neat toy…I think it'd be a great toy to help a child learn how to carry on a conversation. I'd love it for a christmas gift for one of my kids. 🙂

  17. My little boy would get a kick out of this, along with his parents, lol.
I mean it talks back? How cool is that! I just want to play with it myself.

  18. my neice really wants one from Santa (she is nine and I think this is the last year with Santa). My sister won't let me buy her gift from Santa but if I win it that is OK. Last year I won a DS that Santa gave to my neice. I would love to win so Santa can deliver the goods again this year!

  19. My son would love this for Christmas. Why do I want to win it? I'm paying 2 mortgages right now as my husband lost his job, had to move us out of state and now with the way the economy is, our 1st house is sitting vacant. Needless to say, things are wayyyyyy too tight.

  20. We adopted a family for Christmas last year and plan to do the same family this year, and they have an 11 year old girl and I had no idea what to get her this year since she is told old for "kid" stuff a Huru Humi is going to be perfect still fun but not to young for her

  21. Hi, Such a fun giveaway drawing. My two sons and husband love electronics and gadgets. This would be the perfect gift for the three of them to be amused with! Please enter me in your delightful giveaway drawing. Many thanks to you…..Cindi

  22. My niece would love one of these for Christmas! As with everyone else, we are also on a tight budget due to economic conditions!

  23. My 9 year old daughter would love this for Christmas, she heard about them from her classmates and she said they sound so cool !
Thanks for offering this fun contest !

  24. I'd like this as a possible Christmas or birthday gift for my daughter this year. Her birthday is in Dec. as well and its a rough month for gifts!

  25. I think my daughter would love a huru humi, as she's an only child and needs someone other than her parents to talk to. 😆

  26. I know a special little girl that I would love to give this to. I like the way it's fun and interacts.
Thanks for the chance to win 🙂

  27. We don't have any money for Christmas gifts this year, unless something changes rather quickly. One of my daughter's friends has one of these and my daughter has been begging! Please randomly pick me!

  28. I would love to get these for my granddaughters. Especially if they teach things like not interupting when someone else is talking. Of course the girls are still young but they are never too young to learn manners. Besides I think they would love to have a doll to talk too especially when it talks back!

    Thanks for the contest.

  29. 🙄 I would like to win because I want to buy my daughter gifts that help her learn. These sound like they would help her communication skills and how to interact with others.

  30. My daughters are both sweet little girls and would love sharing one of these wonderful toys. They both have them on their Christmas wish lists! 😀

  31. I would love to win this unique toy for my mom! She's always got interesting little critters on her desk so this one would be fun to give her! Thanks for the contest!

  32. I would love to give this to my daughter and then I could get another one for my son and they could talk to each other. Great for passing the time on car rides, etc.

  33. My daughter is too young, but my niece would go crazy for this. I'm having trouble budgeting for Christmas gifts this year, and this would be perfect for her!

  34. Well this is too cool, well I agree I want to play with it, but my son is language delayed and it may help him with his simple sentences since it talks back. Even my husband may allow this doll, he has the anti-doll attitude for boys and I think he may make an exception for this one.

  35. These sound so cool. I have an 8 yr. old daughter that doesn't like typical toys like dolls and Barbies. She likes her ipod or her radio and I think this goes right along with that. I think she would have a blast with this. Thank you!

  36. My husband who is a sweet man, doesn't happen to talk much. He contracts to Customs on base and he works a second job on base as well as securityso we can play catch up with some school loans and such. So on his time off he unwinds by spending time on the computer and reading. We live far from family and I'm only just starting to make friends. Its sounds like an odd reason but I'd like our toddler to learn polite interaction.

These sound super cute and like a foreshadowing of toys we'll have in the future that will have artificial intelligence.

  37. dear Lisa,
I really would like to have a huru humi. I saw it in a magazine that i found and it seemed so interesting! It would be the best present for me ever! I never get presents or even birthdays because we cant afford it. one huru humi would be awesome to have because i also have no friends and no1 to talk to. If i had a Huru Humi, it would change me life, and i would forget that i was poor. if i had won the huru humi, i would be sooo happy! i can't wait to see what happens next! 😀

    Cortlyn,

    P.S.
I don't have a computer, its the librarys but i have a yahoo account on it.

    THANK YOU!!!

  38. My twin daughters have expressed this as the most important item on their Christmas wish list. Trouble is, I have two other children and about to go through a divorce. In October we barely escaped foreclosure on the house and the husband says he's not helping to contribute toward Christmas. I would be so grateful to see the delight on my daughters' faces Christmas morning should I be so blessed to win for them. THANK YOU!! God bless!
