Inshore Fishing With Reel Surprise Charters

One of the highlights of our Gulf Shores trip was our Inshore fishing trip with Reel Surprise Charters. Our captain was Ralph Young with his boat Fishin' Dixie.

Ralph was amazing. He was so knowledgable about the area and about fishing in general. We learned what fishing poles we were to use with each fish we were trying to catch. He explained to us why we were fishing in each area and where the fish would be.

As you can see, we fished with live bait (shrimp). By the end of the trip, the kids were putting the bait on their hooks themselves.

He taught us how to hold poles and what to do when we got a bite. My biggest fear was that we weren't going to catch anything, but Capt. Ralph wasn't having any of that. When the morning started off slow, he moved us from place to place till we got on the fish!

Now, a lot of what we caught was too small. We did catch about 5 fish that were big enough to keep!

Ralph impressed me when he noticed I had a motion sickness patch on and told me to let him know if any of the places were making me seasick and that he'd move us. I didn't have an issue but was really impressed by his caring and understanding.

Everybody has such an amazing time. The other really amazing part is that they clean and filet your fish for you.

He told us which fish to grill and which fish to fry. We took his advice and all the fish were delicious.

If you are looking for a fishing trip in Gulf Shores, I can only recommend Reel Surprise Charters. Our inshore fishing trip was amazing, and we all had fun. We've been home (aff) about 2 (aff) weeks now and my kids are still talking about the fishing trip! Now, when you go to their site, it's easy to navigate. You can pick which kind of fishing trip you are looking for and which boat you want. You can also pick the date (so you can see if the boat you want has the date you want available). It is so easy to book!

Reel Surprise Charters was quite a catch!

My husband would love this. I am sure my boys are old enough and ready for an experience like this, too!

This reminded me of all the times we’ve been out fishing in the ocean in my brother’s boat. We all love to fish and eat our catch. It’s awesome that they clean and filet the fish.

My husband has done fishing charters before and always enjoyed them and came home with fish. Finding a captain that is experienced and knows what he is doing is key.

I haven’t been fishing in years! I don’t think my kids have ever been fishing. I should really take them! If anything, being on a boat is always relaxing.

My husband is an avid fisherman and this would be something he would totally enjoy. We have visited Gulf Shores several times and he has gone on chartered fishing trips but we’ve never done it as a family. This would be so much fun.

Now this sounds like an awesome day out for a family who love to fish. I bet off shore fishing is so different from doing something on the bank!

How fun this is! It’s been ages since I went fishing, that’s when my Dad was still alive.

What a fun exciting time with the family! We haven’t gone fishing in a long time. When my family and I went on fishing trips before, I would join my boys casting our lines and waiting for the fish to bite. It was a fun activity.
