Kellogg’s Tips for a Great Start in 2014

How has 2014 been treating you all so far? Here in Chicago, it’s been snowing for 3 days, and I think we have about a foot of snow. Getting off to a great start this week has been very important since somebody has to shovel all this snow! Granted, it is all light and fluffy, but shoveling is still hard work, and I definitely needed to recharge before I headed out!  On a regular day (my kids are still on Christmas break), I would be looking at getting myself and 2 kids out the door before 8 am and then coming home to work. Needless to say, a great start on these mornings is needed also!  I definitely need a morning recharge to tackle dropping the kids off at school, working, picking them up, and then getting Madison to all her after school activities.

That is why I am so excited to tell you all that I am teaming up with Kellogg’s to ensure we all get off to great starts when we need them most! For the next couple of weeks, I will be sharing some great tips from Team Kellogg!

Kellogg’s® believes that From Great Starts Come Great Things®. So we’re helping Moms start every day with a tip from the top athletes of Team Kellogg’s™ and Team USA dietitians. The thirty days leading up to the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games will each feature fun pieces of advice to help families fuel just like the athletes of Team Kellogg’s. 1. Wow – that’s a lot of snow and I’m sure you need tons of energy to shovel it! Maybe feed the kids Kellogg’s and send them out to do it;-) Glad you’re getting your days off to a great start!

  2. I’m near you (in Rockford) and all this snow has been crazy! I’m glad my son is off school so we don’t have to leave the house, haha, but we’ll be back at it on Monday. I definitely need to recharge each morning or my day will be disastrous! Looking forward to seeing your tips!!

  3. We just received our first big snowfall over here! Getting off to a solid start is so important as it really sets the mark for the entire day. I need all the tips that I can get!

  4. A great start is just what I need too… ha! I have learned that the mornings I skip breakfast I am sluggish all morning… 🙁

  5. I quite like to start my day off with a shower. It’s refreshing, wakes you up and helps you feel ready to take on the day. Just hate walking out with wet hair when it’s so cold out… brrrr
