My Bucket List

I know we’ve all seen the movie (okay for those who haven’t, its about 2 men who are dying who make a list about the things they want to do before they –wait for it– kick the bucket. Hence, the bucket list.). You’ll find thing on a bucket list like skydiving, riding in a race car, etc.

I bring this up, because Bill and I created a bucket list for our yard.  It’s everything we want to do.  I have trees I’d like to cut down.  My front porch needs to be replaced (anybody got about $10,000?  That’s all I need to tear down the ugly tiny porch we do have, and we’d love to create a wrap around porch around the front of the house).  Bill wants to put in a driveway (since we don’t have one, because we have an alley that runs on the side of our house.  (Our garage kicks out into the alley).  I’d like a new garage.  We are currently creating a flower bed along the side of our neighbors fence, since when they replace the fence, we can’t get grass to grow over there anymore!  I’d love for somebody else to do this for me.  ?  It’s a ton of work, but if it looks as good as it does in my head, it’ll be worth it in the end.

Do you have bucket list for your yard?

I have a bucket list for my house! I want a new master bedroom suite and two small rooms that can only be accessed through my bedroom. One to be my office (which I don't have) and one to be my craft room. 🙂

  2. We have a long bucket list for our house/yard and we are chipping away at it slowly. It seems that we may be moving in the near future so the list may need to get finished sooner than we had originally planned.

  3. My list is too long for a comment! We haven't done much of anything with our lawn or or backyard since Florida had to cut down on watering. It's a mess now and we just don't have the money to do anything about it. When our other priorities are settled, we'll get to it.
