Pretty Muddy

If you follow my Facebook page, you will know that I did the Pretty Muddy run this weekend. It is a 5K run that has your not only running, but you also have obstacles to go through. Oh yeah, and there is mud involved. Lots and lots and lots of mud. This is not a race you stay clean in. This is what we looked like before the race:

Now, those purple T-shirts were awesome. I am not wearing mine due to getting a shirt that was a tad too small. I know they probably used a commercial printing company to make those (and they were cute), but just a little too tight on my for my taste.

Now, I don't run. I walked the race and did the obstacles, and it still was a blast. The race was as complicated as hazmat shipping can be. Instead, I felt as if I could do all of it and live to tell my story. Everybody was so nice during the race. I cannot wait to see the photographs from during the race though. They had a photographer there taking all of our pictures while we were doing the obstacles. Those are going to be both fun and interesting.

Here is what we looking like after the race:

Yep, a little muddy. I already had somebody ask — yes, the mud ate my shoes. I ended up finishing the race in my socks. Gross, I know! As soon as I finished the race, I took my muddy socks off, and we ended up taking our after shot.

The run was pretty fun. I recommend it to anybody because you could run or walk. There was no pressure, it wasn't timed, and there was a lot of fun things to do there!
